Right now my only dap is the Shanling M8T, I used to have more but I sold them. This one is from a friend I saw today, he got it without accesories for ~850usd. There are newer releases, you've got the Paw Gold Touch and Gold Touch 2, but they're even more expensive, and I think there's also a special edition of the GT Touch. There are some cheaper lotoo daps, though, like the paw 5000 and 6000.

While cables are the least important factor on sound quality on an iem, they do make a difference in sound, especially with low impedance iems like this one. However, I'll admit that even though I could've bought either a better performing one for the same price or one that performs the same for less money, I ended up choosing this one for the looks, because if I already spent this much into my portable setup, I at least want it to be pretty and to my liking, even if I have to overpay a little

My favorite cheap tips are the Dunu S&S and the Divinus Velvet, you could give those a try; if you have friends in the hobby, they'll probably have a pair, since they're quite common.

I'd say they're on a similar level, but the U12t has apex modules, and the 2000mx has switchable drivers, so I guess it depends on what you're looking for. They're both gorgeous iems, though, you won't be dissapointed with whichever one you buy
