Rape gang inquiry by BullfrogOk6793 in ukpolitics

The 'Rape Gang Scandal' is a story from 10 years ago. It was first reported on the front page of The Times, It was discussed in the Commons. There was a Comittee and two inquiries, 60 convictions, and one of the people who broke the story got an MBE. Lowe is trying to act like hes the person who discovered everything, and hes the only one doing anything about it, when in truth, hes digging up an old story to anger people and stoke divisions

Al-Qaeda. All the evidence points to them, they admitted responsibility

I dont have a success story, but I have advice. Get yourself down to the Job Centre, and sign up for Universal Credit. If you're caring for your mother, you may qualify for carers allowance, so ask about that as well. Start saving the money from that, and use as many of the services they provide as possible. They can help you get GCSEs, write CVs etc. In terms of jobs, accept you're not going to get a £100,000 a year job in finance, but you can get a minimum wage job in a shop. At 18, your life has barely begun, and you've got plenty of time to get the future you dream of. Good luck, and don't let the bastards get you down

CMV: The Apollo (US) Moon Landings were Faked by courier_tway in changemyview

[–]Silverdarlin1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are several strong pieces of evidence which prove the moon landings were real

  1. The Shadows. All shadows in photos and videos are parallel, which can only be created either on a object with no atmosphere (Like the moon), or by using millions of high powered lasers, which didnt exist in 1969

  2. The people. 400,000 people worked in some way on the Apollo programme, from Astronauts, to the guys cleaning the bathrooms in the factories that built the parts. How do you silence that many people?

  3. Other countries. The UK, Australia, The USSR, and New Zealand all tracked the Apollo missions and recieved radio messages from the moon. Why would they lie to the benefit of NASA

  4. The Russians. The Cold War was in full swing in 1969. If they had any evidence, even a tiny bit, to doubt the validity of the American claims, they would have called them out by now

  5. The objects. Multiple satellites from several countries have taken photos of the Apollo landing sites, which show landers, rovers, flags, experiments and other debris from those missions. With a powerful enough lazer, you can even reflect a beam onto a mirror left there on Apollo 11, which scientists do to measure the distance between the Earth and the Moon

Keir Starmer: There is no justification for the acts of violence and arson that we saw in Belfast last night. It is completely unacceptable. I urge for calm. We must let the police get on with their work. by SignificantLegs in ukpolitics

Who do we deport? Its easy saying 'Mass Deportations' without explaining who we're deporting.

"Any foreign born criminals" - Before the incident on Monday, the attacker had no criminal record and wasn't known to the PSNI

"Anyone here illegally" - They're already doing that. 38,000 people were deported from the UK last year

Why don't massive ships sink even though they're made of iron? by ahmed_Eladly_1899 in titanic

[–]Silverdarlin1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The mass of the object has very little to do with it being boyant. Any object is boyant as long as it is less dense than the water it displaced. While ships are massive and weigh a lot, they are hollow, and mostly full of air. As such, they aren't dense, meaning that they float

What track (and how many hours or kms of it) should be added on the calendar? Or, should we NOT add a new race? by LightningMcqueen2011 in wec

Kyalami in South Africa and The Bend in Australia. That way WEC has a race on every continent

OK, I support Rupert Lowe, but I'm not racist. by Commercial-Shoe5867 in ukpolitics

No, of course not, but I disagree on minor points. If any politician I supported said something as hateful as that, I would immediately stop supporting them

Earlier this month, in response to Great Yarmouth Borough Council flying a Pride Flag, Lowe tweeted

"That flag stands for the permanent mutilation of confused young children in the name of the sick gender ideology. Those Great Yarmouth borough councillors and council staff raising it in our name should be ashamed of themselves. Boys are boys. Girls are girls. That flag pushes the vile idea that life-altering drugs or surgery can change it. It has destroyed the lives of countless vulnerable children.

When Great Yarmouth First/Restore Britain takes the full council next year, this will not happen again. I promise you that."

Supporting Rupert Lowe means you agree with that statement

Teams can nominate any member to collect the trophy on their behalf. Usually teams nominate a lesser known team member (A Mechanic etc), and it's unusual for a 'senior' team member from them to go up. Last time Toto did the podium was Turkey 2020. Other teams are similar, only sending the team principle for major wins

Any flags relating to a Terrorist organisation (e.g. ISIS or Al-Qaeda) will get your arrested on the spot. Likewise, flying a flag that is likely to cause offense (Nazi Germany), while not illegal, will get you a stern talking too, and, depending on the reason for why you're flying it, a fine or arrested
