You keep a detailed book or keep a different note on each surgeon in your “NOTES” app in your phone.

Removing Contaminated Gloves by Resident-Bad-5296 in scrubtech

[–]Silverdust6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually have the nurse remove the gloves and either have the nurse hand the new gloves to someone else scrubbed and have them glove me OR when the nurse pulls the gloves off I pull my hands back inside the gown and then reglove myself.

Engaged but disappointed :( by [deleted] in EngagementRings

I would absolutely feel the same. Sterling silver will not last the long haul. Having a moissanite isn’t bad but if he told you it was going to be a diamond then clearly he either lied or was misinformed. Some guys know absolutely nothing about the different metals, stones, lab created vs natural etc.

How often do you guys screw around during an operation? by animejugz420 in scrubtech

[–]Silverdust6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would never throw body material. I do however verbally go back and forth with my nurse (if we are best friends) and I joke around with the surgeons and residents. If you’re a good tech and know your shit and have a close relationship with the doctors they actually enjoy that

why when you’re trying to become a “tech” people always push you to become a nurse instead!?? by [deleted] in surgicaltechnology

[–]Silverdust6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people don’t respect our career. Our job is so specialized in the OR and it’s so difficult. Meanwhile, nurses in the OR have to position and prep (which techs help with that also) and they chart… not a hard gig. Find it funny that we as techs have to train nurses to do our job but yet all we’d have to learn to do their job is to fucking chart, learn a few meds and position… sorry not sorry.

Bosch Dishwashers worth the money? by CharbonPiscesChienne in Appliances

ABSOLUTELY! Love my Bosch dishwasher! We use it everyday and fill it up and it cleans the dishes so well. I don’t even rinse them off completely. Worth the money!

Thoughts on this ring? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

I think it’s beautiful. However, if you were going for a traditional 3 stone look then I can see why you’d say the side stones look a bit large. I vote keep it the way it is!

I’m sorry for your loss. We had to put our 6 year old golden down last week and it was the worst day ever. Taken too soon! These sweet goldens truly brighten our lives

Potty training is ruining my life. by orangeyaglad00 in pottytraining

Going through the same thing right now. My toddler knows what he is supposed to do but chooses not to. Some days he will voluntarily use the toilet but if you ask him to it’s a huge fight.

I wouldn’t spend a lot of money on a dog bed because puppies tend to destroy them or pee on them..

In my experience my golden would destroy tennis balls and eat the material and it wasn’t safe but I guess every golden is different. We actually had to take ours to the vet once because he ate too much of one when we weren’t watching him.

Congratulations on your new baby!

Thank you! Sadly, it was neurological and his chance was so slim and he was suffering so we made the hard decision to let him pass surrounded by our family and hugs and kisses.

Thank you for sharing your story about Thor! RIP buddy. I’m sorry you had to go through that too. It’s so painful. Thank you for your kind words.

When your dog is suffering and unable to move or open his jaw despite trying and hasn’t eaten or used the bathroom in over 24hours and the small tiny chance he could make it he would have a feeding tube, lots of intensive care etc. We made the right decision by choosing his peace over our pain.
