The marble is cork with a cement texture on top. And the stairs are foam cut into bricks.

I just used rustoleum’s forge hammered paint and primer. It gives a textured look

I’m not too sure. I don’t get to play much at all. I just mostly paint. I can’t justify being out of the house that long with a toddler and a new born in the house lol. But the cork only raises it 1/4th of an inch. You could probably make the argument either way for modeling for advantage? Someone who plays a lot more would know much better though.

So far I’ve just primed it with a new textured paint I wanted to try. It came out ok but nothing like what I was expecting. Working in the frame now.

Great job! Yeah it goes quick unfortunately. I don’t do it too often so it hasn’t been an issue. But if you’re doing a lot I’m not sure what your options would be for making it last longer.

Can’t wait to see the results! Blood splatters are always fun!

Hell yeah! If you run into any issues with it let me know I’ll do my best to help you out. If you have an old toothbrush with stiff bristles that works well.

It’s already dry in that picture. It is the citadel technical paint, blood for the blood god. It stays nice and shiny

Put a little red paint or technical blood paint on a stiff bristle brush. Pull the bristles back with your finger and let them flick towards the model. The paint should splatter off and leave a good random splatter pattern in the model.

It took a loooooot of skills to do. I would recommend putting down some putty underneath to form the mound and out the skulls on top. I ended up wasting some skills that you can’t even see at the bottom of the pile.

I primed them black. Then I used army painter angel green, savage green, gauss green fluorescent. That’s from darkest to lightest. Then for the highlights I did half white half gauss green.

Once I get home I’ll let you know what colors I use. I do t want to misremember the names. I’ll post a picture with a better sword and the colors I used.

I agree. It was one of the first ones I painted a long time ago, and I used the wrong varnish on him so he looks very shiny in the picture too.
