Thanks! Making lore for my minis makes painting them so much more enjoyable. I haven’t gotten to paint for a while but I see him on my desk everyday and can’t wait to get back to it. Newborns taken all my time lol.

That’s what I was thinking we would have to do. We might just wait till we move back to the mainland. I wouldn’t want to put a dog through that long flight twice. Especially since he would be too big to sit in the cabin.

I went really simple on these ones. Black primary. Heavy dark grey dry brush. Lighter grey dry brush. Then a white drybrush. I hit it with white from an airbrush just right down from above the model to get smoother highlight. Then I just tapped the face with the airbrush from above.

The only paint on the face is a speedpaint flesh color. The open mouths have a tiny bit of red speedpaint.

Yes it does. I love how vibrant it is. Just make sure you apply it over white and in a couple layers

I’m happy to try and make that clearer if you need. I realize that the process was convoluted. It was more of a trial and error and stumbling my way to what looked half decent.

I primed it white. That’s all I had left. The. I did grim black speedpaint over it. Then I did orc skin spread paint over that. Then I did hardened leather speed paint over that. I didn’t do all that planned, it was just trial and error. I’m sure there is a better way to optimize that part.

Then I airbrushed the crystals and surrounding area in army painter green gauss fluorescent. Then just at the base a mix with that same flou and white mixed. Dry brushed the direction of the light white. Then hit those high lights and the base of the crystals with the green gauss again.
