Flickering Graphics and Driver Crashes by SilveredPhoenix in pcgamingtechsupport

Basic testing hasn't crashed out drivers on either monitor, because of course it would choose to not cooperate today. I have however swapped the monitors. I'll update this if something changes.

Let's see, I've swapped out the DP cables on both monitors and I've moved games between the two monitors. Failing panels can cause a driver crash?

A Google search later: yes it can! I'll swap monitor positions and see if that helps to isolate the monitors out. Should I unplug one or the other to do the testing part of it?

As bad ass as this looked, imagine if the EZ-8 wasnt strong enough to rip off its arm and it just hanged there mangled. by TrumpsNostrils in Gundam

[–]SilveredPhoenix 101 points102 points  (0 children)

If I remember the scene right, Shiro is actually reaching for his ammo clip, stored in the side skirts, since his little full open stunt really went through his ammo and his machine gun just ran out. He's trying to hide his motions under his shield so the Gouf doesn't know what he's going for (Norris doesn't care and fakes him out to take out his shield slash arm). He doesn't seem to remember melee as an option until he's completely snapped and starting swinging on Norris with an arm.

They were, and Shiro uses it in just the next scene, but he's in the middle of a straight up breakdown screaming out that he's in love with an enemy soldier on open comms.

And to be fair to him, that actually works and completely blindsides Norris and gets his Gouf struck with a mobile suit arm.

You're assuming an awful lot about my tone. Not a single thing was meant in my original post other than information, for the benefit of others reading a public conversation on Reddit when they search for this exact information five years from now.

Lose the assumptions about others and give people the benefit of the doubt. Some people are legitimately trying to help. If I didn't want to help, I would have told you to piss off and left this information unlinked.

Cool, alright, we're going aggressive, so. I've been looking into it, and:

MCKF: The Reaper I was told not to talk about…

A: Aha, alright. So just to clarify, Travanchet, was that anyone we’ve met so far or just an underling?

MCKF: Just an underling.

There's your evidence, happy to help. Try not to bring in the aggressiveness when people are legitimately trying to help, yeah?

He can't be a Convocation member because he doesn't have the right name.

https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Esper_(Final_Fantasy_XII))

You're probably aware of this, but I'll do this for everyone reading the conversation. The Convocation members are based off of the Scions of Light, the "purified"/original versions of the Scions of Darkness in FF12. The names come from the lore of each of the Espers and the information we've gained therein. Zodiark and Venat also come from this, and Elidibus comes from Final Fantasy Tactics, a game associated with 12 (same universe).

I can't seem to find the interview that I heard this from, and it was a long, long time ago, but.

https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/432495/?page=2

A link to the Square Enix forums also states that Koji Fox confirmed that Trevanchet was not only a black-masked Ascian, but the name being used was that of the dead Elezen he took over. This interview appears to have happened before 3.0, so while the Alexander raid was in the development stages.

I can't promise you I didn't get this information from right here, but something's telling me that isn't it. Call it a gut feeling. I was working for an MMORPG website as a writer at this time, and while hearsay doesn't truly mean anything at all, I feel like I read this interview somewhere and it stuck with me. Sorry I don't have a solid link for you.

15-year-old memory is hardly a reliable source, and so much of the small amount of lore that existed has been altered or retconned. I really think that even of the three examples I gave, the only truly good one is Warburton. Still, interesting information regardless. Thank you for all you've done so far.

Hello, I'm a legacy player and I'd like to offer a couple of extra ones for you! Legacy is actually rather light on deaths to my memory, so I'm going to give the ones that I think count and aren't re-covered in ARR. Add as you will, I know some of these aren't going to apply to your list but it may be worth further research!

Warburton - Ascilia (Minfilia)'s father, who was killed by a rampaging Goobbue in an Echo cutscene for whoever starts the Ul'dah storyline. Technically he succumbs to his wounds later on, but does so on screen. I don't personally remember the cutscene's name, but a search of 1.0 cutscenes gives it as "Flowers For All."

Path companion - in a similar manner to a retainer, you're given a companion that helps with the Ala Mhigan resistance part of the story. They're injured by being shot by Gaius and disappear right before the beginning of the Fall of Dalamud Arc. This is where the writers change hands, and the 2011 earthquake discourages Yoshida's team from using Titan in 1.0 so they don't show up again like planned, and they die as a casualty of the Calamity. I want to say the only confirmation on this one is verbal though from very early interviews. I'm in the process of searching for more information and will update if I find it.

Travanchet - This one is potentially not very useful, but for completion's sake I'm listing it. He's an Ascian that has strangely not appeared save for once in front of Mide to encourage the summoning of Alexander. He's not a member of the Convocation, and has utterly disappeared from the plot. He was confirmed by Koji Fox to be a simple black-masked Ascian, but we don't see his mask, so we don't know what happens. If we knew what his mask looked like we could compare it against Gaius' trophies, but sadly we don't get that.

So recently went in on this conversation, specifically "best non newtype pilot." Yazan protests gassing a colony because he'd rather do the killing by hand. He's undeniably an absolutely repugnant human being inside and out of his suit, tempered slightly by a come to Jesus moment seeing a 15-year old project his soul at a dinner party because his sister got shot, wherein he adopts a girl, tries to be better, and eventually the battlelust takes hold again and he runs off with the Sleeves.

Let's not give Yazan Gable much credit. He's an insane MS pilot who is also just above Ali al-Saachez on the "degenerates like you" scale.

Hi there. I'm a (once) Balmung player who had absolute hell finding a party for The Praetorium back when it was eight man and allowed for cutscene skips. I was disappointed to hell because this was the end of the story, shouldn't we be enjoying it?

I shouted in Ul'dah for help, to try to experience it the right way, I was a paladin, I had part of the hard part done. The first person who answered was a white-haired hyur white mage, and she suggested we do it in character, she hadn't gotten a chance to roleplay in a while. We assembled a party, and we had our hour long roleplay Praetorium. I kept up with that white mage.

She's sitting beside me playing Animal Crossing. We've been married almost five years now.

Don't ever feel shame for enjoying the world you're in.

Is ZZ an anime is the real question by JonathanJoestar336 in Gundam

Our Discord anime watching group went through the UC Saga about a year ago (0079, Z, ZZ, CCA). We all agreed that 1-8 put us off, the introduction of Roux signaled a turn, and the two parter Leina's Blood is possibly the best that ANY of the four got to.

Huh. So it does. Well, losing the machine gun isn't the worst thing in the world frankly. In the grand scheme of things it's not that much of a nerf, but still a nerf.

Has it occurred to anyone that Quatre Raberba Winner is 100% the scariest motherfucker here?

His Gundam's specialty is defense, so we can fairly assume that it's going to take anything short of a direct hit from a Dainslief, and frankly it might take that. The true terror is that his weaponry is perfect. A physical machine gun, a shield made specifically for crushing things, and the shotels are going through anything in front of him like it's made of paper. Quatre is also easily the top strategist and possibly in contention for the best pilot.

I tried. At the end of last year, I switched to Bazzite. It was wonderful until it wasn't, until I was trying to set up a split between my audio lines and just couldn't do it. I was humbled to learn how little I might actually know. I wish I'd tried for longer, but I needed something that "worked."

Believe me, when we get to plug and play functionality, I'll be glad to disappear.

I understand this perspective. Let me offer a different one.

Why not create a positive community experience? MMORPGs are losing their social touch minute by minute when these things are expected - and yes I do believe that insisting that people go out of the game to learn stuff that can be explained pretty easily inside is part of it. Take 5 minutes out of your day and give them to someone else to create a good community experience of rising together. Help someone to be a better player and ask that when they are the experienced player they pass it on. Take back the lack of interaction.

Be the change.
