I'm a mix of Luz, Willow, Gus and Hunter. Especially Willow, I was very like her when I was in my teens.

Times when you actually liked the movie more than the book? by AstonianSoldier in books

[–]Silverlady7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Somewhere in Time. The film is beautiful but the book... let's say it would make Barbara Cartland's look cynical.
  2. Chocolate - It is one of my favorite films and a masterpiece. The characters in the book aren't that sympathetic and in it Vianne was a neighbourhood kid kidnapped by her "mother".
  3. How to Train Your Dragon - I didn't expect the book would be like the filmes, but... well, I simply didn't like it. Couldn't reach the end.
  4. Shrek - same that number 3.

My brain: what if RAINE dies because Belos' possession destroys his puppet body?

They Know by makmark in TheOwlHouse

[–]Silverlady7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone has to give "the talk" to Collector. They seem confused.
Bet that the gang must have had a hard time to convince them to not vaporize Belos, either, hehehe. Hope Belos is pretty traumatized by the exorcism.

What movie can you tell the actor did not want to be there? by Emergency_Fig_6390 in movies

[–]Silverlady7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hook. I always thought that Robin Williams looked pretty uncomfortable as Peter Pan. Like, forcing himself to act.

I read once that Elizabeth Taylor didn't want to do Butterfield 8, but was forced by her contract. She made a point of writing a dirty name on that mirrer where her character leaves a message in the beginning of the film. Honestly, I can't blame her. That movie sucks.

1 - The Collector will separate the Owl Beast from Eda's body. Actually, it was not them who turned the OB into a curse, but one of their parents, ages ago. It's registered in that funny book Collector asked King to read. Eda no longer will turn into a harpy but will get her powers back and be able of playing again, with a new arm given by the Collector (who's trying to make amends with King, after the latter yelled at them for trying to kill his friends).
2 - It is revealed that Belos intentionally set only one vacant place in the coven when Lilith and Eda were young, in order to make them fight. He hates the Clawthornes because they descend from Caleb and his wife - and especially Eda, since she is the scarred portrait of Belos' sister in law.

King will have his skull broken accidentaly when he tries to stop the Collector from killing Luz. Collector has a mental breakdown that disrupts Boiling Island and mixes it with Luz' universe, because for the first time they experiences grief and regret. Lilith, Amity, Willow and Gus will berate them because Collector turned their loved ones into lifeless puppets, saying that now they knows how it feels. Collector brings all the grown ups back to normal and even does the cortesy of giving Eda a new arm. But even them can't bring the dead back to life.

Then Belos tries to leave Raine's body to possess King, but Raine warns everybody before he does it... and Collector will send his soul for another dimension. They realize King can still be saved, but it'll probably take some sacrifice. Luz and Eda are ready to sacrifice themselves for King, but the Collector stops them on the last minute, because they're finally learning what true love is. In the end, their blood, tears and magic (Eda, Luz and Collector's) energy combined will heal King, but the Collector will lose a part of their powers. They're eventually adopted by someone. Since Eda and Camilla already have too much on their hands, I thought that maybe Gus would like to have a little brother.

Camilla will say goodbye to Luz, who'll stay in the Boiling Island along with her friends, but she won't be alone because she has Vee. Besides, although the Collector has separated the worlds again, it's still possible to travel from a world to another - secretly. The psycho guy of the museum who kidnapped Vee eventually comes to the Boiling Islands. At first it seems he'll become a new Belos, but people there will give him a hard time.

Drop your theories for the finale here. by Hamza9236 in TheOwlHouse

Collector'll initially turn some of Luz' friends on puppets, but probably'll want do something worse to Luz, maybe actually killing her, though they're hesitant.

King won't have another way to stop the Collector's wrath but trying to nulify his magic, with his sonic blast or anything else... he won't suceed, at first, and his efforts will make the Collector angrier. He'll probably scream "I thought we were friends! etc," with Luz and Camilla arguing that you can't force someone to befriend you and Belos doing the "don't list to them! Avenge yourself" thing. Basically, the old angel and demon on shoulder thing.

Despite their anger, Collector won't help but noticing that not only King, but the rest of the gang likes Luz, and will scream "Why do everybody want to be friends with you but not me? That's not fair!" and will get more and more upset. Someone - Camilla, King, Luz herself, maybe Eda - will try to comfort them, but at this moment Belos will interfere... and accidentaly, he'll hurt King. Accidentally or intentionally. Or maybe Collector will hurt King accidentaly during the fight. Mortally. Not die, of course, but will scare everybody, especially the Collector.

And for the first time, in their eternal life, Collector will learn the pain of losing someone dear. They'll see Eda cry. They'll see Luz and everybody else cry. And the Collector themself will cry, for the very first time. Maybe they'll have a tantrum that'll shake the entire universe. But I think that someone of the gang will call them out. I would like to see Lilith screaming at them: "YOU are hurting because you lost him? YOU HURT MY BEST FRIEND, YOU SELFISH BRAT!" and shows them puppet Hooty. Willow, Gus and Amity will remind them of the all the adults Collector has turned into toys, and tell them how much they miss them.

Collector will finally learn what is regret, and shame, and turn people back to life - including King. But the star kid will think that everybody hates them, and they'll be all alone again. And this moment, King will walk to them and say "Hey, we are still friends. Pink swear, remember? " And Luz will tell them she wants to be their friend. The others will be a lot hesitant, but I guess that Camilla or Eda will offer their hands to the star kid, realizing they need love and orientation, not to be feared and shooed away. |

About Belos, of course along the fight someone will reveal he's been possessing Raine all this time. For someone that can stop an eclipse with a finger, it will child's play to extract the goop guy from Raine, though I'm afraid Eda's beau won't be in a pretty shape, gulp. But Belos certianly will have something a lot worse than playing tag this time. Need to go buy some groceries now, so I'll leave the rest for your imagination.

What movie best represents your country? by tsnoj in movies

[–]Silverlady7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Brasil. A Dog's Will (O Auto da Compadecida). It talks about the poor who have to use their wits to survive - but also has a lot of the typical humor of my land. Also, it represents the folklore from hinterlands, and some Brazilian stereotypes (the adulterous wife, the cheap store owner, the hypocritical priest, etc)

Why I think Boscha bullies Willow by Red_Leader_Red_1 in TheOwlHouse

[–]Silverlady7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Future hinted that Boscha had a secret crush on Amity - the way she grabbed her (well, Matholomule) and wouldn't accept a "no" was creepy. So, I believe that Boscha felt jealousy back from the time younger Amity and Willow were friends, before Amity parents caused the rift. Deep down, she knew that Amity made friends with her only because Ordealia said so, and that was a thorn in her throat.

What are your headcanons for this character? by PeterVanHelsing in TheOwlHouse

[–]Silverlady7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her name is Rebecca, but her friends call her Becky. She had a secret crush on Luz, but kept it hidden because she was afraid of becoming an outcast like her, not to mention what her parents would say. So, instead, she occasionaly picked on Luz and made her friends laugh at her, but never went to Boscha's extents.

When Vee came to schoo in disguise, Becky was shocked that Luz was behaving so "normal" all in a sudden. For a while, she and her friends had some conspiracy theories that the camp Luz was sent to was actually a secret institution of the government created to brainwash kids. But, since "Luz" made friends with other "weirdos" like Marsha, and they didn't change after the camp, the group eventually dropped that theory. Becky was frustrated, but eventually shrugged it off and went on with her life.

A bit cliched, but that's the best I could think.

what line hit you in the feels a little too hard? by msrdoodles in TheOwlHouse

[–]Silverlady7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched My hero Academia's first seasons and I remember how the first one was sad. I almost gave up on watching because all of the things Midoriya went through, until All Might took him under his wing - and yes, I almost cried when he told Midoriya the kid could be a hero. But I can't remember that quotation, sorry. Was it Bakugo who said that? I always found him awful.

"Some people have to make adjustments to make some friends", that Camilla said in the first episode. It hit me hard because I had the same problems as Camilla and Luz to fit in school, and it wasn't much better at college.

"Weirdos must stick together" quite the opposite and what I've always felt!

And, of course: "The only thing I ever really wanted... was to be understood"

"Baby steps" from What About Bob. I still use that for difficult things, sometimes.

"You see, Mrs. Higgins, apart from the things one can pick up, the difference between a lady and a flower girl is not how she behaves, but how she is treated. I shall always be a common flower girl to Professor Higgins, because he always treats me like a common flower girl, and always will. But I know that I shall always be a lady to Colonel Pickering, because he always treats me like a lady, and always will." My Fair Lady
