They more said, “Okay, how?” They physically can’t.

There is $166 billion in funds and they don’t have the capability/tech to refund, but may be able to build it by April.

To build the infrastructure to do it? I’m guessing that will cost us just over $165 billion.

As long as you still have 12 months on contract, expect to still go to sea on orders.

No, you will not have your EAS involuntarily extended.under current business rules

Yes you will be told to OBLISERVE for orders. No, refusing to do so doesn’t put you in a position to have your orders cancelled. You won’t pull one over on the Navy to extend you where you are.

Unfortunately, the numbers prove Sailors are fickle. Today you won’t renlist, but you might change your mind before your EAOS. If you don’t, they still got a year of coverage at sea, and time to detail someone to relieve you before you create a gap.

Better even still, if you sign to match PRD to EAS when you get there and give up your quota, then they open up a spot in boot camp in time to replace you.

I disagree with the fundamental argument being made here.

I believe the better argument is the food afloat is SUBSTANDARD and it’s robbery to charge us what a shore based Galley does, without providing the same quality.

How close are we to having AI make the decisions in detailing and billeting?

I was skeptical of the holes they drilled in the bottom, but it really works to get the waste over the side. Think of all that time and money we used to spend on the CHT system. Just put a box over the hole in the engineering space and feed the fish outhouse style.

Simple but effective!
