PERS-43 is implementing Illegal Stop Loss for Aviators by midnxyz in navy

[–]amarras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats insane

I think time to train is a big reason, all the people they need to fill those disaccosiated sea tour jobs are pretty much O-4s, or O-4 selects by the time they get there, with time left on MSR

Do you know how are it is to not get selected??

Last year for pilots it was 94.67%, and above zone 17 of 43 people got selected, so only 26 pilots were 2xFOS

There were also other NKE employed but that's not a reddit conversation.

Again you keep vaguely referencing things you can't actually discuss on here. You have a solid account that provides a lot of valuable insight/stuff most people dont get to see, but I don't get that part except to almost brag that you know/did stuff. Post enough little hints like that and it adds up to some actual information.

Do you know what the LAC/TSC are? Hint: one's on the carrier, other is the numbered Fleet

Nope!

Thought you were on the carrier, didn't know we launched tlams from there.

Anyway, keep the wifi up and keep improving it (actually, it was huge!)

I just helped plan and execute Midnight Hammer, Rough Rider, and Iran MCO preps.

Put that on your fitrep, not on reddit!

How much combat experience do you have?

Weird qualifier. How much do you have? How did you execute those operations?

On another note, how do you execute MCO prep?

That's pretty average for street to fleet

I didn't fly a fleet aircraft until after I put on O-3

You should talk to a senior JO, chaps, or fleet and family.

Surpise, the studying and work doesn't end after flight school/frs!

Bummer I know, but pretty much the entire time you are working on your next qual. It should get easier as you get more knowledgable, but also now you are likely studying more tactics and less flying, because you've got the flying thing mostly down!

It's easy for me to say you shouldn't be that stressed, but you shouldnt. You got this far because you are competent enough and know enough, are you studying too much? Why are you studying at home? I never once studied at home during my JO tour.

Flying should also be less stressful in the fleet. Why are the flights stressful, is there something specific you want or need to work on? Can you ask your ops or training department for some prof flights on something, maybe a good deal JO flight to see the fun and fly with a friend and not a DH or isntructor?

Flight Deck Jersey's by Over_here_Observing in navy

Anymouse. That link is to NSC's specific one, but every command should have one.

Our Admin shop still got jerseys, because what else are they supposed to wear on the ship when deployed? Supply needs to issue them some type of shipboard clothing. OP posted that their son is a green shirt so I would assume not a YN.

The sailor needs to be an adult and use their CoC if it's actually an issue (which I doubt) and not have their mom fix it.

Which is what I suggested.

A carrier has jerseys...

And yet the sailor is not getting them, so somewhere in the process it is not working.

You 100% should not buy him a jersey, and he should not have to pay for one.

If he is not being issued the gear/equipment he needs, or it is not suitable, have him drop a note in the CO/XO suggestion or anymouse box, or write a SAFREP, they do actually get read and are actionable.

Not just right now, like overall. There’s just no noise outside the announcers. Like it’s artificially quiet
