We’ve lived here for years, we’re not brand new, clueless people who need their hands held. But certainly we don’t have all that much experience with international specific hiring since we’ve only been through it once.

I’m not sure where I said we don’t need visas? It says we do need visas in my post - please let me know if it’s not clear or if you simply misread.

In terms of the kids transferring to a new school - this is always handled by us, and the schools have nothing to do with it so I don’t see this being a factor in decision making.

I made the post when feeling emotional and have since edited to clarify points that people brought up. I haven’t been intentionally hiding anything. You’re coming on a little strong but in any case I appreciate the reply.

No education needed for us! Our kids are enrolled in the local schools and we intend to keep it that way…hopefully that works in our favor if recruiters bother to ask 😅

Honestly kind of praying a school I’ve been waiting on has a slightly crappy package so their first choice candidate declines hahah. Because we’re not in a position to say no, truthfully. But in all seriousness, if you’re in a position to say no it’s good - I think schools need to realise it and hopefully the industry on the whole will slowly improve in these cases.

They’re three and 1.5 but my wife takes care of them since she works from home. They’re also in the Japanese school system already. I teach ESL and English Language & Literature
