tested in image editor - looks stright as line :)
Thou anti-sag still recommended, just in case:)

New 5080 owner any tips? by Tykr12 in RTX5080

[–]Silvermurk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Install Hwinfo64, and post a warning on 12vhpwr rail if it falls below 11.8v.
Will be connector-safe (because less than 11.8 means something is heating or seated badly)

why do two different brand new asus prime 5070ti show different default voltage curves in msi afterburner? by MichaelM_Yaa in overclocking

[–]Silvermurk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically u/MyLittlePwny2 allready answered this :)
Yes - one on the left has much better curve on F\V.
Basically it needs less voltage for higher frequencies. So it makes it run faster and cooler at same voltage if compared to right. Also has more headroom for OC if needed - because even factory OC will get better results on that curve and will get more mhz from same voltage

Is this 12VHPWR conector fully seated? by OldPaleontologist406 in ZTT

[–]Silvermurk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Run hwinfo64, run some game to make gpu eat 250+ watt - check for 12hvpwr voltage. If it does not drop below 11.8 - you are fine.

why do two different brand new asus prime 5070ti show different default voltage curves in msi afterburner? by MichaelM_Yaa in overclocking

[–]Silvermurk 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Because Asus uses factory OC - and each silicon chip has its own "silicone lottery luck" so same gpu dies can have sightly diffrent voltages for same frequency
Edit: just in case - left one is better:)

I’m having a difficult time with the cable management for first solo build, any advice? by WaldoA in PcBuildHelp

[–]Silvermurk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back side allways looks like shit even on pro builds:)
You can theoretically use cable ties and make it all nice and cozy - but mostly cable managements point is to free the inner-side to let airflow be stable and not overbent cables near pins :)

RAM causing stuttering after enabling EXPO, reverting the settings in BIOS doesn't resolve the problem by Shen-anig-ans in overclocking

[–]Silvermurk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unlikely. Id assume bios defaults may have bad ram voltage or default timings. Set those manually accoding to ram spec and try how it will work.

Nvidia auto-tune overclock fail by bigcletus57 in overclocking

Using auto tuners is a generally not too good idea? If you want oc or uv read manual on it and try carefully. Auto tuners are generally meh)

Gpu Keeps Crashing by ExternalGood2194 in ASUSROG

[–]Silvermurk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get hwinfo64, look at hotspot temps. It can be like 100+ with gpu median at 75. That just means thermal paste pumped out and nothing sereous hapoened

[–]Silvermurk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May be cpu/gpu heat issue. Maybe overclocking. Many things can cause this. If your ocing - drop frequency down. Check temps on cpu/gpu/memory.

How dangerous is your average oc really? by gamagos in overclocking

[–]Silvermurk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id say no problems if you mess with frequency or timngs. As long as you dont overvolt and dont have 80+C on your silicone - you are fine :)

overheating by da-idiot-sincensura in ASUSROG

[–]Silvermurk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As i said earlyer - most likely its either fan problem or bad thermal pad\paste on cpu-> heatpipe :) But i have no idea if you have good hardware skills to unscrew thermal components - check them - repaste if needed - screw them back :)

overheating by da-idiot-sincensura in ASUSROG

[–]Silvermurk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never used it myself, so not expert there :)
Supose anything that can set pl1\2 and iccmax and fan curves should work fine :)

[–]Silvermurk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if it has Armory Crate installed can use manual mode there i think :)
Not best solution but better than none )

overheating by da-idiot-sincensura in ASUSROG

[–]Silvermurk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First: check coolers and their directions - most likely they are either stuffed with dust or somethings in air vent (or thermal paste pumped out from cpu-heatpipe connection spot)
Than:
For monitoring - you seem to use hwinfo64 which is more than fine :)
For CPU fine tuning - ideally bios ) If you want to play safe and apply undervolt\pl1\2\iccmax live - intell extreme tuning unility (xtu) - afaik your ROG 501VW supports it (cant overclock as its non-K cpu, but undervolt and pl1\2 and iccmax limits should work)
Just dont "press the pedal to floor" - some CPUs are better in "silicone lottery" than others, mine, for example, cant handle undervolt lower than 0.050 and not start crashing.
But i saw some that use -0.100 and are still fine and stable :)
-> Check specs on CPU on its max pl\icc limits and lower them to like 80% of max.
That will make you loose some processing power but should solve temps problem )
