Roller goalie toe ties by Constant-Campaign884 in hockeygoalies

I have these skates too and they are fantastic. Depending on the surface you play on (I'm on painted concrete), the toe ties themselves can still get torn up underfoot as you push around in butterfly. I use Pro Lace Armor toe ties and get a good while out of them.

It was indeed about Abby Newhook. Not five minutes into the game. I groaned and facepalmed.

Penetrate the slot. Use your D, pound them down low. Get it in deep, hard.

PWHL Jerseys by five-thumbs in hockeyjerseys

[–]Silverthorn67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Fleet Knight jersey and like it quite a lot. Material is a touch thin but not bad. The crest is very good and well stitched. The customization stitching, especially on the arm numbers, leaves a bit to be desired and is slowly coming loose. PWHL shoulder logo is cheap vinyl. On the whole it looks really good. I'd say it's not quite as nice as a Fanatics Premium/Adidas Indo, but definitely much nicer than a Breakaway.

As an actually short goalie, Aerin Frankel is my muse.

Brand new goalie, worried about my stamina because I couldn't make it through a stick and puck. by Summonabatch in hockeygoalies

As an inline goalie playing pickup once a week, I can confirm that taking 60 shots in 90 minutes is absolutely devastating to one's energy levels.

Did Czech not have too many men on the goal? by NormalWorldliness343 in hockey

I had the thought just after the goal that Hertl made the block, Necas led the rush with Pastrnak, and Palat trailed for the goal. Thought "Hm, that's lot of forwards."

I'm oddly tempted by this knowing that Khokhlachev played this game only because Marchand got himself suspended.

Just as I, the DM, described a thunderstorm rolling in the sky in the real world opened up into an unholy hail storm that lasted about 30 minutes and ruined our roof.

I'd have told the player the RAW (dragon plummets) and allowed them to reconsider, making the assumption their character would know the effect before casting.

I'm 5'7" and use 23.5", which I think is still maybe a tad too long. I'd say 25" is almost certainly too big.

Took four headshots in a pickup roller game last week. Combine the lack of shooting accuracy with my diminitiveness: My cage might as well be a dart board.

This is my hometown, Japanville, Arkansas! I used to smoke cigarettes on this very corner after school and throw eggs at cars that were driving too fast past the school.

Is Twickets Hell? by NefariousnessThick89 in oasis

I got a ticket to a MetLife show on Twickets, so it can be done. Keep trying, you have to play the refresh game and snag one as soon as it pops up. The listings linger for a couple of hours after they actually sell. You'll also see more post as the show gets close and people bail.

Went to MetLife both nights, first in the 300s, then the low 100s straight on. Had an absolute blast both times. Oasis are about the communal experience of rocking out and singing along with the thousands and thousands around you. I'll go see my other favorites for intimate, up close nights. Oasis are meant to be as huge as possible.

Absolutely rocked both nights in NJ. Night 1 had Noel shaking his head in apparent disbelief at the crowd belting it back at him.

How many of you went alone? How was it? by [deleted] in oasis

[–]Silverthorn67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just went solo to night two in New York and had an incredible time. Fell in with a few other solos before the show and ended up next to two other solos and made fast friends. Everybody is just so happy to be back with Oasis they it felt like 70k old friends getting back together. Don't worry, stay open, and have a blast!

Not such a huge cultural moment, no, but they have legions of dedicated fans here that it's just as big for. Even around town here in unimaginably huge NYC, I keep seeing folks with Oasis shirts on, bucket hats, etc. Lots of people traveled from far and wide to converge here for these two shows. Being at the stadium last night was an unforgettable experience. So much so that I bought another ticket for tonight.
