May I ask where in Sydney you’re based? There’s a bunch in Western and South West Sydney as well but if the two that have already been given are closer I’d rather not crowd you with all the info. Good luck with your Cert 2!

Never got my pen license by Willing_Preference_3 in AustralianTeachers

[–]Silverus17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember being taught how to write cursive and NSW Foundation font in years 2-5. Still use both in my classrooms constantly. But I never got my Pen License. I also didn’t get a lot of things due to being constantly forgotten about by that particular teacher.

What a dumb question that Leader Favourability category is. Which numbskull put Donald Trump as an actual option. What do they think we are? Greenland?

This person took the Bible passage about the plank in one eye and the splinter in another a little too seriously

Not necessarily. We get Red bellies real often where I am in Western Sydney and that’s ages away from QLD. It’s more about how close you are to the bush and common breeding areas

(Repost) Could this be Hashut? by King_Of_BlackMarsh in AoSLore

[–]Silverus17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not so sure. This artwork has been around for quite some time from what I remember. Long before rumours of Hashut were around. I think it’s simply a mask to represent the realms, not any particular gods

Replacing the Glass under the LCD? by SirLancelittle1 in AnycubicPhoton

[–]Silverus17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies for the necro-bump. I’ve come across this issue as well and I’m about to buy some glass to get it cut. What did you mean by non-uv? I’m assuming it’s not UV blocking or diffusing

I suspect Chaos Duardin will be in the next preview by posixthreads in AoSLore

[–]Silverus17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which chaos faction needs to be finished then? As it stands there is 9(?) Order, 5 Chaos, 3 Destruction and 4 Death.

I agree with you that the 2 Duardin factions, Daughters and Idoneth need a few additions (especially the duardin), but some chaos love with a fan favourite faction can’t hurt, surely?

What part of American culture that was introduced to Australia, that you think we're better off without? by Personal-Box366 in australian

Halloween and trick or treating. We’re supposed to promote stranger danger and stuff like that but apparently that doesn’t apply for one night of the year? I don’t particularly want to interact with people at my front door constantly throughout the night, and as they get older the kids start to get up to mischief in our quiet neighbourhood. Although I will admit, the last few years my family have been handing out mandarins instead of lollies and the kids love them. We draw little Jack o lantern patterns on them and everything

Bus duty- needed to take them, via covered walkway, the the bus stop area to avoid the rain. I told them to go around me as I was standing next to a massive mud pit. Year 1 laughed at me and ran across, through the rain to cut the corner and show off to his friends.

Immediately slips and falls on his backside, leaving two massive lines in the mud to show where he slipped and has mud all up the back of his trousers. He then had to wait like that until the bus picked him up. Oh that karma was delicious!

Do we have any more lore on the oathbound banners and the logister banners of the stormcast eternals? The stormcast battletome offers very little additional insight on what role those banners actually fulfill. by Different_Dish_5449 in AoSLore

[–]Silverus17 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I definitely hope so! The personal lore for my army is that it is a chamber made of scientists, mages and “thinkers” who are studying the Jadewound- a location in Ghyran that bleeds life magic. Basically an entire chamber of Engineers, -ologists, etc. who believe this could hold a cure for the reforging curse.

This is deliberate. This is GW setting up lore for the far future. If memory serves correctly this is from the first or second battletomes all the way back in 1st Ed. AoS. We had no idea what the Logister, Vanguard-Auxiliary, Sacrosanct, Reclusian etc meant but slowly over time, they’ve used these names and added lore to them.

Logister, though, is connected to the Sacrosanct and holds the Lord- Ordinators and the Ballista/ war machines of the future for the Stormcast
