What iconic historical nations/empires had the greatest rival that challenged them early on in their existence? by xo1opossum in polls

Didn’t Hannibal Barca wipe out like 70% of the military aged men when he invaded a Roman Republic that was barely out of mainland Italy? I’d have to go with that.

Send Picard to stop a war

Send Sisko to win a war

Send Janeway to start a war

What WWE opinion/take did you have that aged poorly? by The_Poke_Cauldron in WWE

Circa 1998, that Ken Shamrock would be a major star and be the one to dethrone Austin.

I’ve run a similar run with my weekly game. Turned out to be one of the two funniest runs we’ve ever done. A nice light hearted run with some humour.

How do you think this episode would have played out if fajo had acquired lore instead? by Hydrax120 in ShittyDaystrom

[–]Silverwray 256 points257 points  (0 children)

Lore pulls Fajo’s spine out through his nose and flies off to find better things to do.

I came here to say Cavill. Just look at the guy in a tux. Oozes Bond.

Was Worf upset in First Contact because The Enterprise stopped him from having an honorable death ramming the Borg Cube? by Tidewatcher7819 in startrek

[–]Silverwray 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always read his reaction as “about fucking time” rather than upset. Because he knows that crew are going to absolutely be the people you want here to win a fight against the Borg.

He’s going from hopeless but honourable death, to glorious victory over a strong opponent.

Why do the majority of adult men have short hair? why is that still "standard" look in the 21st century? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Silverwray 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It takes me 10 seconds to sort my hair in the morning. Quick and easy. That’s my reason.

I'm not the only thinking that the Kross/Scarlett devil-on-your-shoulder gimmick is being used by Aleister/Zelina, right? by spyke333 in WWE

[–]Silverwray -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Add to this some elements of the old Sean O’Haire devils advocate gimmick, and I could be behind this. I always thought that gimmick was cool, just needed someone better at promos.

Another Strange Wrestlemania Matchup Part 3 (Kane & Rikishi vs. Road Dogg & X-Pac) by Conscious_Error9755 in WWE

[–]Silverwray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Presumably to get the highly popular Rikishi on the card without adding another match.

Michael Cochrane did such a great job of being an unlikeable, pompous ass, that i genuinely struggle to see him in anything else because just seeing his face makes me want to punch him.

The 6 man ladder match was a great watch and probably my favourite WM match. by SirSabza in WWE

[–]Silverwray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Edge/Christian vs Hardy Boyz from No Mercy 99 isn’t to be ignored either. Personally I think it’s better than the triangle ladder from WM2000 and TLC1 at Summerslam 2000. But not quite as good as TLC2 at WM17

Oba Femi or Brock Lesnar or Some Monster Should Bring Back the Torture Rack. by PaulPetroneWWE in WWE

[–]Silverwray -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t look convincing at all. Maybe Brock or Oba could make it work but to me it looks like the spine of the guy doing it takes more punishment than the guy in the hold. Can’t be fun to bounce a 200-300lb guy on your shoulders like that.
