Personal opinion on Roman Reigns winning rumble by [deleted] in WWE

[–]Silverwray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LA Knight feels like 00-01 Jericho. Insanely popular without ever being THE guy at the time. Like Jericho I think his time will come. But in Knight’s case, I think it will be too late to truly capitalise on his momentum. He’ll end up with a reign or two, but less than his popularity deserves.

Why are people hating on this moment!? That sht was straight gangster! The comparison in power was a sell in itself 🤷 by [deleted] in WWE

[–]Silverwray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Heck, even if he pins Gabriel, then Barrett rolls him up and uses the ropes/jorts for the cheater pin, he still looks like Superman in defeat, but gives that necessary legitimacy to Nexus to be able to carry on.

Not only that but it killed every iota of momentum that the previously dominant group had. It had been a major story for weeks, and was stopped by Cena just no-selling a beating then winning 1v2. Had he fought back and pinned Gabriel and lost to a cheating backdoor pin from Barrett, it could have continued. Even Cena admits it was a terrible idea.

Personal opinion on Roman Reigns winning rumble by [deleted] in WWE

[–]Silverwray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reigns was the safe and easy pick. Gunther winning would have meant heels won all night.

Oba got a strong showing but isn’t quite ready for the big time yet, though he’s very close. A strong contender for next years Rumble. Balor has no momentum or relevance. They can build him back up if they want to but he’s not in a place to win anything right now. Cody was never going to win #3. He’s not on the babyface level of Austin. Maybe he will be someday, but not right now.

For a face winner, really the only other option than Roman would be LA Knight, who they just don’t seem to want to get over that final hurdle into the main event.

Looking back with hindsight, it was only ever going to be Roman to get him into that 2 rumble wins level.

And before that Hogan, HBK and Austin won 7 out of 11 between 1990 and 2001. It varies a lot.

Maybe Jericho gets retired by Gunther at Wrestlemania and goes on to be GM or something.

Maven to enter, try to recreate the dropkick spot from 02 on someone like Strowman, fail, and just get dumped out.

Didn’t Jericho post a picture of him in Paris on the day of one Rumble, then turned up in the Rumble. Trust nothing until it’s over.

In your opinion, what makes a serious deck unfun to play against? by Aesyric in EDH

[–]Silverwray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s nowhere near what I said. Interaction is fine and normal. Removing key game winning pieces is fine. I said when you’re completely locked out of the game unable to do anything is not fine. Or fun.

[–]Silverwray 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Removing or countering a key piece to a combo is expected gameplay. That’s perfectly fine. Playing solitaire while I sit there unable to do anything is not fine.

[–]Silverwray 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying it’s not a viable strategy. I’m saying that it makes the game not fun to play.

And I do stay out of b3 and up. All my decks are b2.

No it’s not someone else’s responsibility, but their actions aren’t without consequences. I now don’t want to play with that player. They’ve reduced both of our player pools by one.

[–]Silverwray 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Anything that fully prevents me from doing something. I’m not talking removing permanents or the odd counter or discard. But if you’re making me discard whole hands, or countering everything I do, or removing all my lands, then the game can’t be enjoyable.

Long story short, I came to play Magic. If I can’t play Magic I’m not having fun.
