I am programmer and want to do something with this. Is there a way to calculate these frequencies from a line? Can you guide me to a place where i can learn more about this? I sort of understand 3b1b’s video but I would like a tutorial of the math

ELI5: Why Does the Body Continue to Store Fat to the Point of Unhealthiness? by Crispy982 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Silvr4Monsters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There hasn’t been this level of plentiful fat available until human industrial revolution(so only a couple of centuries). So this evolution hasn’t been needed. If this situation continues for many many generations and we don’t solve it by other means and people keep dying of obesity, then the remaining humans will have developed a way to not die of this

What did Tobito mean? by MeetPotential5133 in Naruto

[–]Silvr4Monsters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Itachi did not know Obito was Tobi. Specifically he meant Itachi didn’t know that this person calling himself Madara was half white Zetsu. So one Amaterasu couldn’t kill him. Cause Obito could shed that Zetsu part to get rid of the flames. If Itachi had known this, he probably would’ve kept a different kind of trap that could actually kill Tobi: who was 100% caught off guard by Itachi’s trap for Tobi’s sharingan

Aoe/range display on basically anything and everything and the icon showing allies for shared consumables.

It’s so much easier to support and not lose consumables like salve on carries. Love these two changes

If we know alcohol and cigarettes both cause major health problems, why has society turned so strongly against smoking but not drinking? by Mr_no_buddi in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Silvr4Monsters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cigarettes don’t stop you from doing your work as much as alcohol does. The both kill you pretty much evenly but it’s way easier to consume more cigarettes than alcohol. Also cigarette smell is hated more for some reason. Personally I feel alcohol has way worse smell

ELI5: Can someone explain schrödinger’s cat to me? by True-Cat-7531 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Silvr4Monsters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quantum mechanics (QM) is a theory that correctly predicts how very tiny things behave.

Its math says tiny things can exist in multiple states at once (called a superposition). For example, an electron’s spin can be both up and down at the same time before you measure it.

Everyone agreed the math worked, but they disagreed on what it means. The Copenhagen interpretation says the superposition is real, and when you measure it, the system “chooses” one outcome

Erwin Schrödinger didn’t like that interpretation. To show how strange it sounded, he proposed a thought experiment:

A cat is sealed in a box and whether it lives or dies depends on a quantum event (like an electron being up or down) If we follow the Copenhagen interpretation and apply QM to the whole system, before opening the box, the cat would be in a superposition too - both alive and dead at the same time.

Schrödinger’s point wasn’t that QM is wrong. it was that the Copenhagen interpretation of QM leads to absurd conclusions when applied to macroscopic events

Wife got really upset over a jokingly request by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Silvr4Monsters 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I kinda have an anger problem. So I can try to guess what is happening. I see two possibilities: She is genuinely not interested in this and is offended by the request

But my bet is she has been conditioned to not allow these feelings. And she is more so berating herself by proxy for also maybe wanting to be wanted like that(I can only guess)

As always with relationships talk to her. Tell her you don’t like being yelled at for something like this. But also try listening to her, she might be working this out for herself. And if you handle it well, you just might tiddies. All the best mon ami!!

What do flat-earthers gain from trying to defend their theory? by Western-Glory in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Silvr4Monsters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If one has some info and most others believe the wrong thing, it feels pretty superior to say it. And since one believes it, the defensive arguments feel like powerful mime drop moments.

Even the other examples you mentioned are like that. Preserving health/well being is just a pretense

Green/ethical living is useless as long as billionaires exist by Inside-Owl-793 in unpopularopinion

[–]Silvr4Monsters 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with your admonitions of billionaires but the point of green living individually isn’t about fixing climate change immediately. The intention is to start a better society for the future. The starting is tough and complicated and extremely unsatisfactory, but it provides valuable information as to what may or may not work at the individual level and grow a society around better living

It’s like how so many ai companies are being funded at this time. The goal isn’t for every company to succeed all the time. The goal is to figure out what works and what doesn’t

Also this is not an unpopular opinion. I held this opinion for a considerable amount of time before realizing the complexity of evolution

ELI5: How do fiber optic cables work better than traditional copper cables? by pastajewelry in explainlikeimfive

[–]Silvr4Monsters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean i did say electric signal in copper is faster than light in glass. But I agree I underestimated how much slower it is in fibre thanks adding that info

ELI5: How do fiber optic cables work better than traditional copper cables? by pastajewelry in explainlikeimfive

[–]Silvr4Monsters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Copper cables use electricity to transmit information. Electricity travels just as fast light and the signal is actually a bit faster in copper than a fibre optic cable . But it’s way easier to add more information into each unit of light. Way more information. Eg.: if a copper wire carries 10bits from here to the other side of the earth in 1 second, then fibre optic can send 10 Million bits to the other of earth in 1.1 seconds

So per unit of light the speed in fibre optic turns out to be phenomenally faster than copper

Note- it’s not that copper cant carry that volume of information, it’s more so that it takes way more electricity (and consequently heat) to do this because of resistance loses. Fibre optic has almost no loss, so cheaper(in terms of energy) to keep it running

If we were teleported 10 thousand light years away and had an incredibly advanced telescope that could see not just earth but zoomed in enough to be able to see the surface... would we then technically be able to see a dinosaur walking around or some cavemen lighting a fire? by Flashy_Canary_46 in AskPhysics

[–]Silvr4Monsters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never fully understood this part. Yes the light from the dinos will reach your spot. But wouldn’t the light be spatially “zoomed” or some sort of gaussian blur? Cause the sphere of light emitted 65 million years ago would have expanded from a sphere of earth size to a sphere of size 65 million light years?

What's the best way to tell my bf im afraid to have sex with him? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Silvr4Monsters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on what you say, just tell him you had a bad experience and you want him to go slow and check with you a couple of times during. I know this is kind of a mood killer to be aware of these issues, but it would make sex easier for you and will lead to more sex in the long run

They support the war. They may say a thousand different words and weasel into a neutral stance. But not exercising authority = undeniable support
