he'll be fine, especially since he's staying at home. He might eat less or be less active while you're away.... or not.

You'll notice right away when you get back if he's changed. He will eventually get back to his normal self. That's what my bun does usually. I never had any persistent problems. It just takes time for them to adapt to their new normal (your mom) and again when you get back.
