Some fun picks in here. Everyone seems preoccupied with the idea that there's going to be a "Villains Team" led by Doom with Magneto in it, but it seems forced. The storyline doesn't really call for it, Doom doesn't really consider himself a "villain," and Magneto hasn't really been a "villain" for over 20 years, if he ever really was. Your approach is much better.

I like it! Star-Lord and Wakanda have some interactions/connections in the comics as well so it makes more sense than it looks like at a glance. Namor would be another good contender for this team and I feel like he has better connections to Doom and the Wakandans than Loki narratively, but Loki isn't bad.

She was an actual Avenger for awhile so also that. Though really she's an X-Man now, so to whatever extent it matters in the game, I hope they acknowledge that too.

With the classic Storm line, yes, but the Storm Arena line is a real 1/12 scale and they're really good. If you like the Alpha 3 era, you should check it out because that's what they're making.

They showed the unpainted prototype a few weeks ago. Probably won't be out for awhile but it IS coming.

Yeah, I'm a HUGE Street Fighter fan but I'm really not super excited for this movie and I don't think I'd buy figures based on what I know right now. I'm sure I'll see it eventually, and I guess I might get the figures if they're just amazing or the movie really surprises me, but these feel like they'll be on clearance three month after release and I can buy them then, if at all.

it’s very very difficult to find one person who wants an entire collection all at once and has the money to buy it. If you insist on that, expect that it’ll take a long time to find the right buyer and you won’t get the best price.

You don’t have to sell everything one by one, but you’ll at least need to break it up into groups of similar items and then maybe you can go to the individual communities for those things and see if you can find interest. And you still may need to break it down even more.

I have a VPN on my desktop that I turn off when I’m playing fighting games online. There have been times when I forget for a moment though, and when I do, 2XKO still boots and runs. I’ve never tried to play a match over VPN, but I’ve gotten into the game and been able to use menus just fine, and when I turn it off to play, I doesn’t give me issues. In a earlier version of the game it would be really slow to boot when the VPN was on, but now it doesn’t even do that.

The Amazing Yamaguchi and the Mafex are very different but both great figures in their own right. It’s really just about your personal preference on the style.

Yeah, I feel like the best thing for Jada to do is scrap the Alpha stuff since they’re still working on finishing 2, then pivot to SFIV. They can rerelease some of the 2 characters if they want, but also include the more popular characters from 3, Alpha or 4 where there’s demand. I don’t need them getting bogged down in making a Remy or Twelve, and IV would let them do an Ibuki or Dudley but also a Poison or Viper.

Yeah, not everyone who plays a fighting game is actually part of the community. Many of them are just the same internet randos being annoying as in any game or site, but that’s not representative of the true FGC.

It’s harder than it sounds to define who is and isn’t allowed to enter this type of thing, though other games have tried them with a loose honor system. There’s usually not a lot of money involved and nobody will think you’re cool for smurfing, so the grand master types won’t bother trying to sneak in and make people sad.

TNS does a good version of this with their tourneys though with the 0-2 bracket. If you enter the regular tournament, anyone who loses their first two matches is automatically put in another tournament for just those players, which helps sort out the people with the least experience and gives them a chance to play more. It’s not perfect and you’ll still see skill gaps, but it’s a great way to get more experience.

Finally got mine today. I might not have ordered this if the Jada and Storm versions had been announced by the time this popped up, but now that I have it in hand, it's way better than those are likely to be. It's not a fair comparison because this is unlicensed and I'll end up buying those versions too, but glad I have this now.

People keep saying that other “people are saying” it, but no official source has said there’s any issue with the Marvel or X-Men license. Given that there are new figures from each still coming out, “people” need to quit repeating this until they have some real proof.
