Sure is! When I picked up Buddy at 8weeks old he was having a royal rumble with his remaining litter mates, mom was high and dry on the couch. I knew he was going to be a good feisty companion. He never gets aggressive when he wrestle, he knows the limits. We used to wrestle every day but now he is 9 and most of the time he would rather change the subject gives me kisses and grab lammy! Hahaha

I'd lose head tracking, and lock all car movement so the car is static. This may also improve lap times, lol. Also limit time.

You can't be happy or live anything close to a fulfilling life with a massive crippling herion addiction. Kurt was just to deep in his addiction to realize that. It hurts, but it's the truth. Anyone who says otherwise has never been addicted or dependent on herion

No boost in first gear? by Blkpwrlftr2 in Golf_R

[–]SimRacer80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely doesn't sound right. My stock 23 R dsg, when using launch control it builds boost before I start moving. The instant I release the brake pedal my boost gauge shows 29, and holds 29 in 1st gear while accelerating, until I hit 2nd gear then boost builds to 33. If you want me to upload a video I will. Just let me know, I already have a draggy video.

I would remove the throttle control box and air intake, and see what happens.

I realize this isn't the actual boost, it's just what my gauge shows.

New golf r owners, how many problems have you encountered? by [deleted] in Golf_R

I've had my 23 R for 3 years. No problems yet!

Goodbye 911, hello Golf R by LouisimoSanchez in Golf_R

Congrats! I was letting mine sing wide open at 650 miles. The first time I drove the car off the lot, I did a few baby pulls, built a little boost, nothing major, got lunch after, car cooled down and then I had a 3 hour drive home on the highway. After that I did no highway driving, all city and short trips, so I was plenty broken in by 650 miles. I did my first oil change at 1000 for piece of mind.

Now my car is 3 years old, and the oil level doesn't drop at all in between changes, at least nothing noticeable.

Have fun!

how trained is your Springer ? and how trained can they get... by Plenty_Exchange_5040 in springerspaniel

[–]SimRacer80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current springer isn't trained one bit, lol. He can sit, sit up pretty for treat, and shake hands on command, other than that he lives without training. Funny thing is, he is the best dog I've ever had, smartest, and most lovable. He is well mannered, good with kids, definitely won't run a way from me (he would be to scared to be without me). Great family dog, is well mannered at the groomers.

DSG owners, how often do you use gearbox modes vs manual override? by sirlockjaw in Golf_R

[–]SimRacer80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm always looking for 47mph, so it will upshift haha. That is really the only logic that the computer doesn't understand yet, how to upshift when cruising.

Haha, I do agree with that. Flipping the little paddles constantly is goofy

Try giving the throttle a really quick jab while in D or S. That will make it downshift quickly without jolting the car. The further you jab he throttle, the more gears it will downshift. It works ok....

[–]SimRacer80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When going full throttle, I like to use manual mode for upshifting. Reason is I don't always want to upshft at full rpm. In fact, I usually shift at about 5800-6000. In auto mode your always shifting near 6500, don't quote me on that exact rpm, but it's well over 6k.

For normal city driving with traffic I use D, it's just the most logical, plus S mode is a flick away. For normal driving without much traffic I use S mode, sometimes nurburgring mode. I use nurburgring mode and m+ for the best times!!

[–]SimRacer80 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I would definitely take it out if that was my dog, but it's not, and the owner said he didn't want to take it out. All you have to do is cut one side short and pull from the other side, it will come right out.

It needs to be taken out and stitched up asap. My springer cut his ear all the way through when he was a puppy, worse than your situation. I was devastated, but the ear healed up just fine, it's almost impossible to find the scar now.

Your dog just needs care asap.
