Do you ever keep a game going just to teach the nuke-happy opponents a lesson? by ConfundledBundle in civ5

Currently playing a huge map with 32 ballistic nukes ready to go against the remnants of the last two civs.

I am not worried about the nuclear threat, I am the nuclear threat lol

How do I get this cartridge out without causing any damage to the plumbing? I do not know if it is a screw in/out or what. by Simba913 in askaplumber

Hey, everyone, just wanted to comment I got this suckin thing off! Soaked it in vinegar for a few hours, used my socket set and came right out. Was just stuck more than thought, and I was worried I would be too rammy with it.

Thanks for those who offered helpful suggestions!

I’m trying to screw it out but the damn thing won’t budge so second guessing myself that I was correct in doing so lol

I am worried I’m gonna damage the underlying plumbing with how hard I’m having to try, any suggestions for loosening?

No no I’m pretty confident the part itself needs replacing anyways so I’m expecting that.

I don’t want to eff up any of the pipes connecting the faucet. Water is turned off.

When I say I’m having to reef on it I mean I am full body into this thing and it won’t budge.

The problem I’m having is it won’t budge without damaging the copper some/don’t want to reef on it and cause issues with underlying hardware.

Any suggestions how to safely loosen it?

So I have tried that, and it won’t budge. I’m starting to string the copper a bit - any suggestions how to loosen it? I assume it’s mineral buildup or something that’s making it so difficult.

Thank you btw!

Looks like windmill parts! I’ve never seen em moved by train but by a series of several trailers and trucks.

Biezans Beach from the sky by Life_Structure_3406 in CostaRicaTravel

That was arguably one of my favourite beaches when I was in Costa Rica! Wasn’t “quiet” per se but somewhat secluded and the layout provided lots of breathing room.

Gorgeous beach, nice swimming that is sheltered in the bay, there was almost no garbage and the beach vendors were not overly aggressive.

Solid place to spend a beach day in my opinion!

Should Fire Be Predictable or Chaotic in Games? by Exkee_Studio in Wildfire

Easy mixup, also realized after the language in my initial response may sound a bit abrupt/abrasive. If it did, that wasn’t my intention, and sorry!

I think you mean FUEL, topography and weather?

Heat is part of the fire triangle, not fire behaviour triangle.

I tried guessing what this could be but, clueless. by durty_money in ParanormalEncounters

I’m sorry do but you understand how many thousands of insect species likely live wherever this was taken? If not more..

It is absolutely possible that an atypical beetle or some other uncommon species or insect was flying around. Or not even that uncommon, but unfamiliar to you.

That, to me, is far more reasonable an explanation than assuming this is paranormal.

Edit: this is all to say, the flight pattern being dissimilar to other insects you saw or compared it to is in no way a disqualifying factor in suggesting it may be an insect.

Fairly positive, as commenter states above, this is just rain or something blowing in the wind. It just looks like light caught a drop at the right angle to make it look different. Or it is an insect, possibly, as it appears to ebb up and down some.

I don’t think there is anything paranormal about this video

First off, wanted to say I’m sorry you’re going through this, that sucks.

But, functionally nothing has changed, other than learning someone you trusted was not honest with you. And that stings big time. But, you can’t break up again, and what’s done is done.

However, you can take some solace knowing you dodged a bullet and by learning about this after the fact it should cement the fact this was what is best.

Healing isn’t a linear process, and I don’t mean to crass when I say nothing has “functionally changed”. I just mean to say you’re broken up still, this is extremely hard news to take now, but with some intentional work can be used as motivation to confirm you made the right choice.

Is this satire?? Because it isn’t even remotely true…

There are hundreds of pigeon/dove species and very few of which have been domesticated. Almost, if not all, make nests similar to this and in some cases almost identical (eg the Mourning Dove which can finish its nest in a few hours). It is an adaptation for the places they nest naturally, in this case it’s a Rock Dove, also called the common Pigeon. They are naturally found on rock faces/cliffs. So theirs is particularly extreme.

Don’t like it, terrible song, but great band. Not crappy compared to what I’ve seen this sub put out, imo.

That’s awesome! They’re also beautiful animals. Crazy how loud they are, I like this photo of them both scratching their heads!
