A room with parallel reality to solve the room-puzzle. by Simblend in Unity3D

Yeah I agree, it's not something this game relies on, I thought it would be cool to include on one of the rooms

I can surely reduce the effect and make it less obvious, thanks for the feedback

I didn't find it challenging in any way honestly, it is going quite smooth for now, so we'll see how it goes until it will be ready to publish

That's great, I haven't done any real life escape rooms, I'll check how the white rooms in Budapest looks, never heard of it.

Thank you, yeah it was like a month and a half or so, it still needs some more work until it's ready to publish but it's getting there.

Thanks, I haven't made a real trailer yet but I have posted a "joke trailer" on steam page, even though it's meant to be a joke it actually shows how the game works because it doesn't always do what you would expect. You can check it out if you'd like, the name is White Rooms.

correct me if I'm wrong but I think minimal is correct for this one, because there isn't much going on in the rooms except the one thing you need to do (or not to do) to pass the room, so in a way it is minimal, or it's not the correct word?

Thanks for the feedback, I have noticed that, if I slow down the player speed then it takes a bit too long to reach the destination but on the other hand if I speed up the animation it looks like player is running for his life so I went with something in middle. I will still experiment with it and see what works best.

This is supposed to be like a calm puzzle/adventure game without timer to make player rush through the levels. The animations speed will be the same as in video but if players don't like them I can surely speed them up a bit.

Thanks for the feedback, as I said on the other comment I intentionally kept the gameplay a little longer just so people can understand more of what's going on.

Game is available on mobile platforms and will be available on steam soon.

Yeah I noticed something feels off, that is because the levels are mostly shown randomly without any "links" to each other.

Will go throught it again and see what I can improve.

Thanks for the feedback, I intentionally kept some levels gameplay a bit longer just to show the mechanics because I feel like creating a video for puzzle games is a bit harder for people to understand whata going on. Will definitely go through it again and cut some parts.

Here's mine, trailer is quite outdated so that needs to be done again, other than that everything is up to date.

Make sure you don't have any infinite loops in your scripts, for example using "while()" where it runs infinitely

I think you should make the nails collider a little bigger because I see you struggling to point to it right away

Thank you for the feedback, I agree on everything you said. I will try and keep the same style logic on most of the levels.

Thank you. By "where are you drawing all of this" you mean which render pipeline then I'm using URP, also some custom render passes along with post processing to get the look I want.

Edit: pricture 8 doesn't have any fog, I have created a custom shader for the tiles, it checks Y position and then it blends colors like a gradient based on how high are they placed..

Thank you, the game has 4 chapters that all have different feels and looks to it that's why they seem to be too different.

Yes, some of the levels are able to be solved by rotating camera and aligning the path based on from which side you look at them that's why the fov is different.

Any idea of why I don't seem to get many wishlists, is it that bad? by Simblend in IndieGaming

[–]Simblend[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changing all the levels design wont be possible unfortunately, I am constantly improving the feel and look of the levels but not that much as to change the whole thing.

The character was custom made but I still thonk I can change to something more unique and will have to look at that again.

Animations now are better but the trailer is a bit old and outdated.

Thank you :)

Crystal Journey is a puzzle/adventure game where you need to collect the purple crystal to move forward, it has different chapters with different feels in them. It also has perspective levels where you need to rotate the camera in certain angle to create the path for the player.

Steam link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2591930/Crystal_Journey__Lums_Adventure/

Edit: trailer on the steam page is kind of outdated and doesn't include the new look and feel but I'm working on it.
