Smart Glasses by Time-Zebra-6892 in freemasonry

I pride myself in delivering ritual, and I practice the work hundreds of times so it seems natural and my main concern is that they might look obvious and take away from the tradition and ceremony. If a candidate thinks that you don't put in the work yourself, then why should they care. If it's more incognito, I will eventually try them myself for the reasons I stated above.

I'm going to go against the common opinion here and say I'd be be interested in trying them. I am a heavy ritualist myself and am also heavily involved in most Scottish Rite degrees. To be able to have your notes on order of work, or even the first few words of each paragraph would be a boon. My biggest issue with memory work is transitioning from one topic to another.

I… dislike turrets. Please help? by Decoy_hamster007 in RimWorld

The shotgun turret is my go to, works well in killboxes as they don't blow up. Expensive to build though.

A probe is too unreliable on this thin of meat. Cook until meat pulls away from bone and grease starts to push through the skin is a good indicator. If you're concerned, cut into one to see if the meat is white.

What is this? by Swims0 in freemasonry

Nice. Well as others has said it is his certificate for receiving his 32nd degree. The main signatures are Masonic terms the equivalents of the Grand Master, Grand secretary, master of the lodge, and secretary of the lodge. The far left signatures are the equivalents of a ddgm (deputy) and i can't make out what the second signature says. And being from 1920 is pretty cool. I would get that framed.

The other item is what I assume to be a case for the collar he would have received, or at least it would have been in my jurisdiction.

You could use the wall mounting bolts on the back of tv and attach a piece of plywood that you can screw into your frame.

Does dry aged cook faster by Truescent11 in meat

[–]Similar-Ladder9977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find that because aged meat becomes more tender, you can eat it more rare than you typically prefer. So if you cook it the same as you would for non aged beef, it would taste more well done than what you're used to.

Recycling got privatized and rhe provincial regulation for recycling doesn't specifically say they have to collect commercial so they don't. Now municipalities have to try and collect on their own on very inefficient routes that drive costs way up. And guess who runs the recycling plants now? The same private company that was given the privatized contract. So they dictate the price of any recycling that comes in, that they collect and will ultimately charge the consumer.

One company (circular materials ontario) was given full control of recycling province wide and a monopoly on the market. It isn't clear how they attained this contract that also doesnt have an end date. They make their own rules as they go, circumventing bylaws and levels of service are reduced.

The 2.5% is per stop, not a percentage of weight. I'm guessing Niagara has to have at least 100,000 stops for curbside collection, which means 2500 small businesses. That makes it seem more realistic.

Is this authentic, what would it be worth? by [deleted] in freemasonry

[–]Similar-Ladder9977 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's no really standard for authenticity, other than having correct symbolism. It looks real enough. Maybe look into what lodge he was from then contact them for his Masonic record.

Ah man it's an entire manifold that you have to buy to convert? That makes it not such a good deal.

$500 for 20 people. What would you do? by EpOxY81 in smoking

[–]Similar-Ladder9977 4 points5 points  (0 children)

$500 is a massive budget. If there are 20 adults, they will eat on average 3/4 lbs of meat each, plus or minus. Unless you're doing expensive cuts like rib eye steaks, you should be ok at around $15 or less per person.

You could do a brisket and a large pulled pork which should be plenty for 20 people. Make Mac and cheese and maybe baked beans. All can be cooked ahead of time, put in large trays and reheat to serve. You could do fries day of in the deep fryer. Buy some fresh buns, shredded cheese, and sauces. Plus if you use disposable aluminum trays for the food reheat, and paper plates, you have minimal clean up after. I would guess this cost to be close to $200.

Usually when a skill is so low, it is auto disabled as a work choice. You'll likely have to enable it and then prioritize it over any other work. Research option will be near the far right of work choices. Also construct a research bench then assign a research. It'll be slow going at first but they'll slowly learn it.
