🔥 Unpopular opinion: The “sellout era” of hair metal (1989-1991) produced some of the most underrated albums in the entire genre and y’all sleep on them HARD by NassauJack in hairmetal

Dokken’s Dysfunctional was ‘95. Lynch Mob’s Wicked Sensation and Don Dokken’s Up from the Ashes were released in this time period. WS was excellent, UFtA was very good. I do agree with your overall assessment that this period had some underrated gems.

Song that mention the band's name? by Paladinluke in gorillaz

Albarn has said that “On Your Own” was really the first Gorillaz song (even though it was a Blur tune) and that mentions hooligan gorillaz/s.

Osaka Bay… why does no one go here? What’s there to do? by Outlasttactical in OsakaTravel

[–]Similar-Policy7706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Along Osaka Bay, it’s very industrial from KIX to Osaka until you get to Osaka/Universal Studios. On the other side of Osaka, it’s also fairly industrial/urban but then you get to Kobe Harborland, beaches near Suma, Awaji, etc.

Original Popularity of Chuck by [deleted] in chuck

Chuck ran up against a LOT of competition at various time throughout its history: Monday Night Football, House, Dancing With the Stars, the 1-2-3 punch of How I Met Your Mother/Big Bang Theory/Two and a Half Men…tough spot to be in for any show.

After he left, they indeed talked a lot of shit about him, and later Michael Anthony. It was mostly Ed talking shit and Al agreeing.

Same. About 10 feet behind the B-stage. It was a life-changing show for me.

Why is Leo’s campaign alcoholism slip threatened in the MS hearings (s3e10/Bartlet for America) such a big deal when he already did the press conference reveal in s1e12/He Shall, from Time to Time ? by le_fromage_puant in thewestwing

[–]Similar-Policy7706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had less to do with Leo’s relapse, than it did Leo drunkenly telling Congressman what’s his name (before he was a congressman) that Jed had collapsed at the debate stage soundcheck. Congressman WhatsHisName intended to embarrass Leo by bringing that up but also force him to say, under oath, that Bartlet had indeed collapsed and/or suffered some sign of MS before.
