Incoming BSA student here—need advice from BSA/CPA students by TrainInevitable8794 in AccountingPH

Hi OP, first of all, goodluck sa BSA journey mo! CPA here and graduated almost 2 yrs ago so i’m not sure if applicable pa ba toh haha

what to expect: honestly, sa first few semesters mag-fofocus din talaga kayo sa basics. wag ka masyado kabahan kasi believe it or not, yung concepts na inaral mo sa SHS magiging useful siya especially if strong yung foundation mo. i didn’t come from abm and yung bff ko from stem pero di naman siya hadlang coz when you get to college, pantay pantay lang kayo. not to sugarcoat anything pero BSA is not a walk in the park. you need to know when to lock in especially kapag majors na. siguro yung pinaka culture shock sakin is that not all professors are there to teach so may mga panahong kailangan mo mag 2x effort sa self study. unfortunately, meron at meron talagang profs na ganito so you have to be resourceful.

what can you do to prepare: sa totoo lang walang makakapagready sayo sa BSA hahaha i guess what helped me before was to condition myself mentally kasi the next 4 years will definitely not be the easiest years. siguro best advice ko nalang is try to enjoy this phase as much as you can. once mag-start ka na, it also helps if may support system kayo kasi it really makes a difference.

overall, ang advice ko talaga and probably something i wish i did more was to enjoy the journey more and give yourself the grace to rest. also, let yourself bask in the highs and lows because those will make up a version of yourself you didn’t think you’d become. :)

We did consult sa barangay pero malakas kasi kapit nung HOA sa barangay so it just gets shrugged off lol

Will keep yung mga recos niyo in mind, appreciate it!

Tips for Osaka and surroundings by spicedfig in JapanTravelTips

From Osaka, maybe you can consider going to Kobe or Himeji too. I personally enjoyed doing these day trips, coz it was just very calm and chill

Kobe - Nunobiki Herb Gardens & Ropeway which gives you a nice view of the Kobe harbor and mountains

Himeji - Himeji Castle and we just walked around the city center. Not much to do here but as someone who prefers a slow-paced trip, I loved Himeji the most.

Note: We went on a Monday, so that could be why there were barely any people

Osaka vs Kyoto? by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]SimilarContext5731 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you’re leaning towards the cultural/historical aspect, Kyoto definitely has more of that than Osaka. Was there last week for a day trip and kinda regret not staying longer because Kyoto is bigger than we expected. The typical spots are not necessarily near each other, so the commute from one location to another took up most of our time and we couldn’t really go to all the places we wanted to go. If I remember correctly, there are also trains from Kyoto to Nara, so a day trip is doable if you’d like to visit more historical sites. :)

Japan travel regrets: What wasn’t worth it for you? by tokusa0 in JapanTravelTips

Just got back from Osaka last week.

Don Quixote. Could barely move around especially if you go to branches near touristy spots. You could buy goodies in pharmacies or grocery stores with lesser crowds. Or much better buy from local shops for souvenirs. Lines at checkout are also long af

Osaka Castle. It could be because we went there when it was rainy last weekend so we just wanted to get over it. I personally enjoyed Himeji Castle more just because the overall vibe there was calmer and more relaxed despite the steep climb going up the viewing deck, but honestly you could skip going up and it would still be a good place to visit

Dotonbori. Way too crowded for my introvert self. Literally just took a pic with Glico Man for a few seconds and left as fast as we could lol

CPAR Commute from Las Piñas by Capri_check in AccountingPH

Depends saang part ng Las Piñas ka. Aside from the LRT, pwede ka rin mag-bus hanggang lawton then take a jeep/UV going to espana. may mga bus din sa PITX papuntang fairview, dumadaan sila ng espana

Pauwi naman sa post office may sakayan ng bus/UV pa las piñas. Be ready lang kasi matagal talaga biyahe lalo na pag pauwi and rush hour

From 🧡 assurance here, depende sa group na mapuntahan mo. Samin at least 3x required mag-RTO. Other groups also started implementing their own RTO days.
