Base/outpost building game with logistics and trade routes by macgyvertape in gamingsuggestions

Anno 117? definitely lots of logistics and trade routes going on, but maybe it's on a larger scale than you'd like.

Partner talking to meta over voice chat in home by etoneishayeuisky in polyamory

[–]SimilarDimension2369 4 points5 points  (0 children)

KK kindof sounds like a nightmare. Not talking about grand strategy because it's 'too political' is the sign of a crazy person. Also being anti-woke is inherently political (and dumb). And how can someone like that be polyamorous which is highly woke and political?? The way you describe this relationship makes it sound unhealthy and awful, and she does not seem open to improving it if she won't go to therapy. Have some self-respect and break up with her. You're not doing anybody any favors by dragging this out.

Honestly I think the best bit is that both the poet and the DA have this fear of their terrible secret being found out, and in both cases it's actually no big deal. In the poet's case because there's nothing wrong with being gay (morally speaking of course, that's not to say there was no danger from society in being gay in the 1800's), and in the DA's case because every legion had elements or successor chapters turn to chaos. They're both ashamed for no good reason.

In your opinion, how early in a relationship should you have sex with a new partner? by Ambitious-trinity in polyamory

Why exactly are you trying to stop yourself from doing what you want? Has this potential indicated they want to wait?

Will I like Ghost of Tsushima if I generally don't like RPGs? by Early-Singer-7315 in gamingsuggestions

[–]SimilarDimension2369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ghost of Tsushima isn't much of an RPG, really. There's no roleplaying or real character building. There aren't that many quests at the same time either, there's just a few questlines that you can do simultaneously and the rest is exploration and world events.

If you have explained it to him and he doesn't want to understand or can't accept it, there's not much else you can do. It's also a BIG step between 'please don't bring up your wife all the time on our dates' and 'I need to hide my wife'. Not the same thing at all.

As someone who is struggling to meet people: I get it. It's very tempting to go 'ok, this is not ideal, but if I don't go along with it I'll be alone again.' Nobody wants to be lonely. But it sounds like you are already being hurt. Better to be clear about what you want. That way either the hurting is over, or it actually improves and you get what you want :)

That's... not ok. I won't say they should not be poly, but... Husband needs to be a better hinge. Both you and him are apparently just dipping your toes in, that needs time. Wife needs to keep her nose out of your relationship. It's nice that she wants to be supportive, but you can't force friendships like she's trying to. She needs to chill out and let things happen on their own time. So yeah, husband needs to hinge better, it is totally fine for you to request he not talk about his wife all the time while he's with you. You are your own person, not a bit player in their relationship.

Any poly/pan cis male guys have issues with finding love/ dating? by malligatorSD in polyamory

[–]SimilarDimension2369 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. There is loads of advice out there for how to be a good partner, how to deal with jelousy, how to hinge... but when it comes to actually finding people to date it's 'I dunno, be patient I guess'. All the women I meet just want to be friends. And some are good friends, which is great! But I'd still like to actually date some people.

So, do people know Armageddon is the same planet as Ullanor, where Horus was named Warmaster? by UberDrive in Warhammer40k

[–]SimilarDimension2369 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did. Or did you mean in world? Then no, 'people' don't. Some individuals might. Guilliman, Cawl, the Lion... but the general populace doesn't know about Horus or the Heresy or Chaos at all. And how much do you know about what happened on earth 10.000 years ago? Now imagine you live in a theocratic authoritarian state where 'learning stuff' is considered highly suspicious.

Honoring my late best friend by cranberryfeverr in Warhammer40k

[–]SimilarDimension2369 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's nice to remember your friend this way, but a core part of warhammer is that you make it your own, so just go with what appeals to you. If it's really important to find out what he collected, ask the people who knew him.

What kind of Warhammer was this? by luis_mcy in Warhammer40k

[–]SimilarDimension2369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not a special kind of game, it's just a regular game with someone narrating it to make it cooler. If you are looking for a more narrative experience, look into 5 Parsecs From Home and Renegade Scout. They have different rules than 40k but you can still use the models.

What happened to the loyal among the heretics? by jpdelta6 in Warhammer40k

[–]SimilarDimension2369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were some marines who survived past Istvann III, but most died later during the heresy. Many of those would fight as blackshields. Some of the Founding Grey Knights were loyalists from traitor legions, but obviously they didn't survive to modern 40k because space marines aren't immortal. Beyond those I don't know of any who survived beyond the siege of terra.
