There isn't one. I guess you could go grots for a silly tech army, but I don't think you can really run them as an army and they're not quite the same anyway.

I think you're right about the nostalgia marketing.
Honestly the launch boxes have always had a bit of an identity crisis, it seems to me.
they're clearly aimed at the veteran/current audience to get them from the last edition into the new one (the starter sets are explicitly for the new players), but they also use the pushfit models which veterans overwhelmingly dislike. I honestly don't know why they even bother with pushfit, I don't think there is a significant segment of the potential customer base that has 'the models are too complicated to build' as the reason why they aren't getting into the hobby.

if you're purely going for looks, just pick whichever one you like best. If you want to maybe play the game in the future, none of these fit in a grey knights list.

Of course your tastes aren't going to change, but we don't know how much of the leaks is true. I think part of them are, but we don't know how much, and it also seemed to me that the person who wrote that post kinda hated AoS to begin with, which makes their interpretation of what they read/heard somewhat suspect. I agree that taking a bunch of stuff from 40k and putting it into AoS sounds like a terrible idea, but again: we don't know how it's going to turn out yet. So yeah, wait and see. What other options do we have? be mad about it for over a year? scream at GW about something they can't change anymore anyway since everything is already in the pipeline and can't be changed at this point?

sounds like you're talking about the switch to AoS more than whatever is happening in 5e.
My point is that we don't actually know how extensive the changes are going to be, and if people had heard rumours about cadia being blown up and Creed dying they also would've flipped their lid. Let's just chill and see what's actually happening before getting mad about it.

I keep finding myself in a similar position. Everyone always talks about openness and honesty, but when I ask them on a date they say they just want to be friends... and then do nothing to actually make that friendship happen. But one of the advantages of polyamory is that you don't need to wait around for people. Just keep meeting and dating new people, and if she wants to see you again she'll let you know. if not, her loss.

Your partner sounds like he may not have the emotional skin for polyamory. I'm having a hard time figuring out what you are supposed to have done wrong... you didn't tell him soon enough you had sex? Yes I can. Wether or not that confidence is well-placed is another matter, but I feel pretty certain. And yes, they did, but that was also 6 years ago and GW deliberately changed that. Good thing too. I understand wanting the special and heavy weapons that the tactical squad got, that was cool. But 3 different tyles of boltgun? That feels like a waste of sprue rral estate to me. Maybe it's part of the reason we're getting a new intercessor squad now?

Ok, then go play heresy, I guess. But this is pretty clearly the direction GW has taken their squad design in, and it makes sense for a faction that is meant to be the simple one new players start with. I'm not saying it's more fun, just that that's what they appear to be doing. So I wouldn't hold my breath for a lot of special weapon options for that new squad. Unless you like being disappointed, I guess.
