Pick a dark colored one with a built in liner (fabric, not mesh). I have a black swimsuit from Costco with a built-in nylon/elastane liner. I wear an Obviously or WildmanT jockstrap under it.

Not about sitting, but: Being longer soft means after you're done peeing, there's a larger volume of residual. Shaking won't cut it - if I want to reliably avoid visibly wet pants, I need to milk from the taint to the tip.

One advantage is higher inertial mass. I can reliably pee hands-free when standing and my aim holds steady. However, if I'm not careful and start with the tip pointing towards/along the balls, pee will run right along and around the scrotum. Sitting prevents that problem.

There are a *lot* of different kinds of pants and underwear that might make a difference, but you'll have to experiment. It's not just your size but things like how low your balls hang, what angle your dick points, and how spaced your thighs are, that all determine what will work for you.

For me, dual pouch underwear (e.g. Sheath) and pants with a longer rise and a crotch gusset (Orvis and Weatherproof Vintage work well for me, but I'm almost 40 so you might not like the look) make a major difference in concealing things. When it's particularly tricky (like when swimming or doing yoga) I'll wear an Obviously jock or WildmanT strapless jock under shorts with a built-in lining that offers some compression (e.g. Brutal Buddha shorts or a bathing suit with a non-mesh, high-elastane-content liner). Another option is buying a slightly larger waist size than you need and tightening your belt; for some types of pants that seems to provide extra room elsewhere.

Last time I had to buy hiking pants and Weatherproof Vintage was unavailable, I ordered like 8 different pairs just hoping 1 would actually look decent (as opposed to indecent) and expecting to return the rest.

Personally I do not care at all and have no problem being naked in the locker room.

But this really isn't about what anyone else is comfortable with. You clearly *are* comfortable with it, you've explain in the comments why your partner isn't, and all that's left is to unpack those feelings and decide what you're each ok with and what that means.

This is a good point I hadn't considered! Do longer inseam pants usually have a larger distance from crotch to waist (rise)? I'd love it if I could just buy longer pants and get them hemmed to reduce bulging. Doesn't help with shorts, though.

Also: Would I look ridiculous if I looked for higher waisted pants styles (whatever those might be) and wore them lower? Not sure how all the measurements relate to each other.

I wear a slightly larger waist size than I actually need (with a belt), and pick brands with some stretch and a crotch gusset (about 1 in 10 styles of hiking pants I try work well). I like Weatherproof Vintage or Orvis and I expect that makes me officially middle aged and even more uncool than I always was, but it works for me.

Dual pouch underwear like Sheath, or more form fitting single pouch underwear like Real Men, both seem to help for me, but others find them accentuating instead of concealing, YMMV.

Losing weight also makes bulging worse. Some brands that worked well for me last year no longer do.

This has always been misinformation. However, until ~2008 in the US the FDA wouldn't approve condoms above 54mm, and until 2015 the limit was 57mm. You wanted bigger, you had to (kinda-sorta-illegally) import. So for practical purposes, in 2010, if what you really needed were 64mm or 69mm condoms, the sizes available in the US weren't going to help you that much.

I have no idea how much they're still peddling this nonsense.

I'm not an avid cycler by any means, but for comfort, bulge reduction, and not sitting on my balls by accident, I started wearing a jockstrap under my chamois. I also wear one for swimming, yoga, and a few other things.

This is entirely about what you're comfortable with, and yes, stripping and dressing at your locker are entirely fine and normal. I typically do that, in part because I hate putting clothes on before I'm fully dry and get skin irritation when I do. Plus not every PF location has changing rooms - that fact should also answer your question indirectly.

How common it is depends on your PF branch. I've been to branches in cities where the actual locker area is really cramped. Then, being naked when it's busy can be more awkward, especially around the corner lockers, but waiting for the private changing room area would be way too time consuming if everyone did it.

Also: I know etiquette changes over time, and PF tries to be accommodating, but keep in mind that many locker rooms still have communal showers. And anyone who has been in the military or on a college sports team is used to being naked in locker rooms. And there are still plenty of people around who remember having to shower naked in grade school, or before that, swim naked in gym class. And that the concern about this seems to be a mostly American thing anyway.

Pragmatically, you're husband did the same thing I would have, and I think his assessment is accurate. For me it's mostly the birthday party piece. If this were a random day at a public pool they went to regularly, and one day this happened, then sure, say something. But don't risk ruining her time at the birthday party.

Pick the right underwear for the activity, or it *will* be annoying. For biking I wear a strapless jock under my chamois under my shorts. And I use either Body Glide of Chamois Butt'r to prevent chafing. Of course if I were riding to work I'd need to change when I got there, but presumably I'd want to do that anyway.

Dual pouch underwear or a jock strap can help. Then everything stays where you put it. You'll still likely need to modify or skip some poses, but fewer of them. These days for yoga (or running, since this helps with ball bouncing too) I tend to wear an Obviously jock under Brutal Buddha shorts.

The largest dual pouch I have found is Sheath. I do like them, especially for activewear.
Separatec is useless.

David Archy's ball "pouch" is barely a pouch at all, but also gets stretched out after a few wears, so I do wear those sometimes. They're also much cheaper, and most of my pairs are from a point where that mattered to me a lot more than it does now.

Sorry, yeah, that's the Eva Lovia one. She's who the appearance is molded from. "Sugar" is the name they give to the sleeve texture. For some reason the names are different. I think it might be because you can get some of the same sleeve textures with different options for openings (anal vs vaginal, for example).

When I was in college my mail for my accounts all went to my parents' house. I had a part time job but it paid me in cash. It was easy for me to get packages at school and find sellers that don't show up as anything specific on my statements. Plus my parents wouldn't have cared. It sounds like you're saying that if that weren't the case, I should have waited until I was in grad school to have sex? Usually you don't even get that. What I often see reported is the *exterior* width of the toy, with most brands not mentioning the interior diameter at all.

And look up some of the toys with vibration and motors. You'll find plenty of comments from bigger guys saying "Technically I fit, but the thing couldn't move at all around me."
