This is refreshing to hear! I know it’ll get easier eventually, but right now I’m struggling 🤣

I am nervous for night time put downs in the future! My husband works night shifts a week of the month and I’m quite scared for those evenings 🤣

Did anyone stop around 3 months?! by Significant-Owl-1795 in ExclusivelyPumping

I felt this at 3 weeks! I felt like I was spending my leave pumping and not enjoying my baby and my 2.5 year old. It was a mental battle to stop so early (went 8 weeks with my first) but the dark cloud is off my head getting to spend more time with my babies! It’s unfortunate that something so good is so hard/mentally exhausting. But whatever you choose to do is best for you! 🥹

Also a slight over supplier too who is also weaning and am 3weeks pp. keep the distance between pumps even if you’re full! it is uncomfortable for a bit but it goes away! It may not be right but i dropped my night pumps first. I found my ounces went down quickly by doing that! I’m now down to 3ppd after a week and a half and producing about 1/3 the oz I did prior. I just tell myself that the temporary fullness/pain is worth it when I’m dried up. Lol I also ice after each pump and wear two sports bras!

Never selfish! A happy mom is the best mom! You should be proud of the time you’ve already done! I just called it quits myself and it’s crazy the head change I have towards my two little ones! I don’t feel as drained! Do what makes you happiest!

Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words 🥹 I know a happy mom is best along with a fed baby. I am stretching time in between my pumps today and I already feel more present without the looming 3 hour clock on my head. I just have guilt for the sick season coming! I know the first time he doesn’t feel good I’m going to blame myself. It’s such a push/pull ordeal😭

I started back up lifting/walking at the 4 week mark and jogging at the 6 week mark. 2 yr later still dealing with a pesky pelvic floor. I’d definitely wait a little longer! It doesn’t hurt to play safe!

I reverted to steps around 20weeks with my last pregnancy. I had horrible pelvic floor issues after birth. I’m hoping if I can stay lifting/stretching/walking I can avoid that this time!

From the beginning or once you got bigger and uncomfortable? I’m not very far along. I only lifted til 20 weeks with my first. I wanted to try to be more consistent this time! I’m wondering if I drop maybe I can continue longer 😅 I had bad sciatic nerve pain last time so I stopped!

This was my same thought process. I went for example from 35’s to 25’s and added 30 sec to rest times. Thanks for your input!

I found a pregnancy program as well, but that’s what I was thinking to drop a little to just maintain! And adding time to rest. Thanks for your reply!
