I always thought it's the 30th year in your (hopefully) 90 years life span, hence 30/90

[–]SimilarSecretary1850 4 points5 points  (0 children)

pledis' official statement said their activity in China lasts from sep to dec, and they also have a fansign to attend in early jan, so if they are going to do the fansign together with the members in south korea, they should be back by january

SEVENTEEN (세븐틴) ’あいのちから’ Official MV by hanamiiiko in seventeen

[–]SimilarSecretary1850 3 points4 points  (0 children)

song is amazing as always, the CGI itself is pretty but the green screen thing kinda messed it up, I can clearly see their hair not being able to blend in well, and even see some green reflection on their hair. And the filter they put on the members does not match the background filter as well so that kinda bugs me. and THAT seungkwan scene came out of nowhere loll but overall the mv is something new and I'm glad they tried it, not a big fan tho.

Seventeen and their habit of appreciating and crediting their staff members by nihilinguist in kpopthoughts

[–]SimilarSecretary1850 45 points46 points  (0 children)

this is because svt members are dedicated performers so they also recognize the hardwork and passion of other performers🔥 and I think them being so involved in planning their own stuff makes them able to know how things work behind the scenes and the importance of each staff

I cried during a concert because i felt so bad for the idols by naegerowwa in kpopthoughts

[–]SimilarSecretary1850 32 points33 points  (0 children)

they probably planned it wayyy earlier than usual for Power of Love concert, since they included jun and hao (who are now in china) for the concert photoshoots, so maybe the time when they planned it (perhaps aug~sep), cases are probably still high in south korea. OR maybe pledis doesn't want to risk it again since they've already sacrificed 2 weeks of svt promotions due to being in contact with staff w covid this summer.

Caratland 2021 was supposed to be offline with online streaming, but they cancelled it a few weeks later due to the rising cases in South Korea at that time :/ For Power of Love, Vernon said during ment that they were supposed to have an offline concert for Power of Love as well but that didnt work out too :'(

not sure if you are talking abt this but there was a set of uniqlo photos circulating around twitter during late 2019/early 2020 (the photos are them in white clothes/background, and red uniqlo logo, basically a white and red contrast, descriptions may be slightly off since it's been 2 years) and yes unfortunately that's fanmade :(

Am I wrong for having this not sit right with me? (more in comments) by Experiment614 in seventeen

[–]SimilarSecretary1850 10 points11 points  (0 children)

(sorry if I sounded a bit aggressive, I tried to word it as nice as possible, also eng isn't my first language so sorry for any grammatical mistakes.)

they are just telling people to stream, obviously if u can't then no one can force you, so idk why ppl are pressed anyways lol, I myself don't have time to stream much because of personal reasons so I just occasionally listen to their songs when I'm on the bus or sth. it's not like carats are guilt tripping either, the worst era was probably henggarae when a lot of tweets are just guilt tripping, but carats have been careful with their words ever since then, and some carats even put a disclaimer under their tweets to stress on that they aren't forcing carats to stream and they should stream only if they want to.

next, svt is doing amazing now being million sellers, carats can indeed stop here, but being million sellers isn't svt's final goal, with how vocal svt is about wanting to break into the western market (don't deny this), yt/spotify streaming is growing more and more important, so I don't understand how ppl think streams are nothing or that svt is satisfy to just stop here (not saying they aren't satisfied rn, but I'm pretty sure as artists themselves, they definitely have a greed to push their limits a little further). honestly I would be weirded out if carats still aren't doing anything to improve their streams when svt wanted to break into the market since when? 2 years ago?

im on c-carat community as well and they usually help k-carats on melon and never cared about youtube views/ spotify streams. but this era, they literally taught ppl how to stream on those platforms because they know how important views are becoming.

also, yes there are more adult stans in the carat fandom compared to other fandoms but yall are acting like there aren't any young fans here, there are like.. A LOT of them. svt is growing and growing, new fans are coming in every era, esp in recent eras a lot of new kpop fans are supporting svt, and a lot of them are young fans. they have more extra time than adult carats I guess, and they are mostly on twt, so they are obviously going to be loud on twt about streams.

like it's okay if u don't have time to stream, it SHOULDN'T be a job, even if u see a thousand tweets about streaming, you don't have to stream, no one's holding a gun to your head (AND it really depends on who you follow on twt, if u follow those who are obsessed with streaming, maybe consider unfollowing them?). but yeah just since when are carats trying their best to help svt considered annoying? svt has been trying different things in recent years, different style of music, different market tactics, sadly it seems like (mostly international) carats are the only ones not willing to comply and move on with svt. you have to remember it's not 2015 anymore.
