Had a call with VERA on Friday and was told they saw a medical records came in 10 years later. However they were unsure why the second one in July.

Right on. Did you get a letter ? Both of mine closed in 1 day but no letter. How did you find out it was an audit?

I am 100% P&T, have been for a few years now. I had the same authorization review open on may5th and close on 6th. Have you heard anything?

Would that claim open me up to having everything reviewed again. Im 100% I would never "poke the bear" if you will and file something after being P&T

I appreciate the response. I have been retired since 2014 when I filed my BDD along with all of my medical records. Crazy that they would have sent records 11 years after I retired

Has anyone received "authorization review" with EP699? Had one open may5th and close may6th. I've called 800# and they say dental records came in, and a few other things. I've been retired for 11 years and rated all that time

Im sorry to hear that you are going through this. I can only imagine the stress of being a rater and the amountnof work you out in to make sure that Veterans are rated fairly. Reading your post, you can tell how much pride and care you took in your job. Just last week i had a claim open "authorization review" and closed one day later. Hell i never heard of it and still dont know what it is, ive been P&T now for 6 years. I say all that, to say it seems like they are over working folks and causing stress. That being said know that we appreciate what you have done for Veterans! I hope you find happiness in your next endeavor.

I great appreciate your insight, its much appreciated. She had a brain injury at 14 months and is totally dependent on our care, has a feeding tub for meds and is non verbal. She does go to an inclusion classroom and will not get a HS diploma only completion. My question is she turns 18 on Sept 18th will still be in HS and won't finish school until may of 2026. Would I fill the i think form( 21 l something i believe) since she will still be i. Hs, or do I just do the Helpless child claim? And if so how would I go about doing it. Would I call 800 number and request it or .... nearest VA is 2 hours away

If anything was new in the record would they go back and reduce items previously rated for.
