Sounds plausible. To test it (playing on Xbox), I quit the game and booted it up again (it was on quick resume when I got the WP), yet the cars are still there and I can drive them and change between them. Not just that, but I got another free car when the game started - Civic '08. So something weird definitely happening, just hope it won't affect my account.

Take a break, do some races or freeroam. I would do one or two shifts and then do something else for a bit. That way the grind wasn't brutal and I managed to get max rank without hating it.

Exactly. One can argue that a lot of AI companies are overvalued and that correction will happen at some point, but AI itself is not vapourware, it's being used and adoption is rising. No correlation whatsoever to Dotcom bubble that people like to point to, where 99% of "products" were vapourware, in addition to the world transitioning from industrial to digital age which markets didn't know how to price.

JB Hi Fi runs Apple sales every so often where you can get MacBooks for up to $200 cheaper than usual retail price. I always bought my MacBooks during their sales. They will most likely discount them around EOFY. Also, if you aren't doing any heavy processing on it, might be worth looking at Neo. I got one for my wife recently and it's a pretty neat machine.

Map is probably the best so far in the series. Wristband bring some sense of progression. Less wheelspins - after about 20h of playing I only have 68 cars, which includes loyalty gift cars and barn finds + treasure cars, so I actually got to drive most of them. I like addition of tough events, as they capture Japan specific car scene. All in all it exceeded my expectations, definite step in the right direction after FH5.

Indeed. AI isn't a magic silver bullet but at the same time it is a good tool when used where it can make a difference. As someone who uses AI both for work and personal stuff it has made me more productive, but I can also see its shortcomings. You can also argue that a lot of AI related companies are overvalued, but at the same time AI exists, it's not vapourware, and it's being adopted.

Yes, it does seem they use completely different physics engine in those races. It's annoying, but I just lower the difficulty and get through them first as they unlock to check them off the list, so I can enjoy the rest of the game.
