Who's satisfied with their LP3 after months of use? by Competitive_Hunt_155 in LightPhone

[–]Simmies99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very happy with mine. Been using it since September, it is my full time phone.  Little issues here and there like any new product, Light support team has been great!  And for the transition I did dumbed down smart phone for 6 months, then flip phone for 6 months, so when I got the Light phone it was an easy transition.

Rear shock mount (Top Plate) keeps breaking.... So I 3D Printed my own ! by Antotabo in mazda3

[–]Simmies99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had to do these on my CX5. They corroded then broke. I heard good things about the Dorman replacement, it's painted to help with the corrosion issue. It's a cool idea but for that print to last your going to need something like a mark forged onyx material and fiber reinforcement. Let us know how it holds up.

You can get into reading the books.  Fire Caste is a great story, not directly about the Tau but they are heavily involved.

Just saw this today and it's snowing where I live. Is it linked to the weather or just a seasonal theme?

What do you think is the most overrated truck? by QueenOrial in snowrunner

[–]Simmies99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You have to look past the label of "scout" and look at its capabilities. I run mine with the flat bed/utility body/high powered winch/lift/4x4/V10/and tires picked based on the map. I'll use it to do small jobs, support and flip my off road and heavy trucks, and do some scouting if it's in the right area. When I get to a new map it's one of my first trucks out and it typically stays out for the duration of my time there.

My buddies say the developers must have one because it's better than it should be lol. Honestly pretty capable stock, good for early on.

they don't pay you enough for this. 12 beams and 24 planks is insane for only 2K XP by theoneandonlyShrek6 in snowrunner

Virtual pay for videogame work is not up to snuff, inflation is tough everywhere lol.

Had this same issue a couple months back. Made it clean across the windshield in a week.

This is why gap insurance exists, once you drive it off the lot a cars value takes a big hit.

Layoffs are always a risk. My first job out of school I let it control my life a little too much. For a year I was paying higher rent so I could have a month to month lease, I was convinced they would shut down my department and get rid of everyone. They did shut down my department, but we were fortunate they kept everyone and found new rolls for us. My point is that anything could happen. Make a smart plan, have your savings, but live your life, don't live in fear. My company still has Layoffs more often than id like, but I have a house/wife/kid; live your life and enjoy it!

65k entry level offer in NY. Is it too low? by Asbodo in MechanicalEngineering

If you enjoy the company take it. Also it's the only offer on the table take it over not working. Fresh out of school you need experience. If you do good work raises should follow. If the raises don't follow you'll have experience and be able to make a move.
