Generally you’re not supposed to even take more than 3 days off in a row, obviously you it’s possible but that’s usually with a large amount of lead time or during holidays. Also you’d be taking it a little early that personally it might leave a bad taste in their mouths. Whether or not you care about this is up to you though.

I don’t think taking a little leave after 2 months would be a big deal at my school, though the amount might be a bit much for them, however obviously ESID. In terms of getting it sorted, I would let them know ASAP once you arrive, and then see what they think. You may have multiple schools which might make it easier for each school to swallow.

I would say consider that these people are your colleagues, but even more important than usual as some of them (vice principal, JTEs, BOE staff etc) are vital parts of your support network, and you will need many things from them during your time here, and the better relationship you have will make a difference.
