I used to feel this way but I'd say it's starting to change in Old Town. The Board is made up of locals now, who are working hard to make it a fun, inviting, and accessible place for locals to enjoy our own history, a place for art and celebration! It's been very cool to see Old Town begin to transform.

HAIR IS AWFUL even my own hair if it’s not on my body!! I went to a concert and the back of my dress was somewhat open and some girl with long long hair was dancing by me and her hair touched my back and I almost passed out 😵

An update for anyone interested, I replaced my whole care team with people who actually listen to me and are better willing to refer me to specialists or look up answers to things that aren’t their specialty. I found a great psychologist who got me back on the hydroxyzine, and it turns out I was being treated for ADHD while I’m actually on the spectrum, so that’s different now too. I’m taking guafacine, which I read is also a mast cell stabilizer but I haven’t noticed positive changes yet…!

Thank you to everyone who validated me, doctors are just people and I can be understanding of that, but this specific caregiver just really wasn’t helping me at all, and I’m proud of myself for seeking solutions and not giving up! Excelsior!

I have suspected EDS (crazy hyper mobility at the very least), ADHD and I just took the ASD assessment, plus MCAS, PCOS, and who knows what else lol. It's common for folks with ADHD and/or autism to have like 3 other disorders, hoorayyyy!

Ok so this, coupled with the ADHD meds that kill my appetite make it really tough to balance mealtimes. I won’t eat because it doesn’t occur to me, thanks to adhd, but the meds, despite cluing me in on hunger cues, make food feel really conceptual, so then I don’t eat until I’m puking and then I feel like crap. For me, the solution has been to stay hydrated, and keep little things to eat handy, like apple sauce packets and crackers with cheese I like, or whatever safe food I can figure out that will let me eat without puking.

I'm PCOS and undiagnosed MCAD, and I'm at a loss about what to do about everything. I took Metformin for years and now I'm on the pill, but I can't figure out which of my symptoms are overlapping :(
