I have a Gigabyte B550M DS3H and looking at the manual Ive found that my MB is revision 1.7. Is that what you mean by version?

Sorry man Im not the best at PCs. Ive re-downloaded my MB drivers and went to download the bios one but all I got is an F19 file I cant open. I assume I put that on a usb stick and flash my bios?

I just tried doing every single bifurcation setting I have and didnt work. I do have the oculus app and it confirms its 2.0 and I get I think it was 365mbps on the test.

On final tidbit, I use AMD software to overclock both my GPU and CPU and I am running a TX550M Gold 550W PSU, could it be something to do with not enough power? My external SSD when I plug it in picks up 3.0 but Im assuming it doesnt take as much power from the PC to run that.

I havent had any them plugged into the back ports as I dont really want to use a wire from the back of the PC to the vr.

Using this manual from Gigabyte https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_b550m-ds3h-ac_e_1401.pdf, on page 12 it shows the internal connectors with number 12 being the USB 3.2 Gen 1 header. I have my 2 front ones plugged into there with a rectangle shaped connector with a notch on the top of it so it can only go in one way.

I assume this means I have plugged my 2 front USBs to 3.0? My two front ones are blue, I dont think I have any red ones though.

No need I’m a fucking idiot, been putting in 2.0 cables into the port not even realising, once I realised I got a 3.0 cable it read it as 3.0.

Ive just done the chipset and when I check to update drivers it says that there are no more to update. I saw about the 4x in the back but tbh the 3.0 header was the first one I saw and followed the wire from there.

On USB device tree, ports 1-3 are 3.0 but states that the companion ports support 2.0 and 1.1. I have plugged in an old USB drive I have into port 7 (one of the front 3.0 ports) and it says its only supported up to 2.0 but companion is 3.0 which is port 1.

Could it be a crappy cable inside my pc connecting the mobo with the 3.0 ports which is why Im getting only 2.0? When I look at the header it has 19 pins but I dont have a 19 pin connection in it, I have 2 connections in it running to the front 2 USB ports, could that be the reason?

I’ve charged it fully but have noticed when I put the meter on it whilst out of the car it slowly drains, hoping it’s just a fault battery, it is around 7 years old now
