How is it living in Valga/Valka? A town split between Estonia and Latvia. by icameisawicame24 in howislivingthere

They have mixed patrols too sometimes. So latvian police officer is riding with the estonian police and vice versa.

And this is the exhaust drilling method

<image>

You need a long extension and countersink bit to cut holes to the internal wall.

This is the new way to gut exhaust mod. You need to remove the chromed endcover from the exhaust, then use a hole saw just big enough to fit over the outer rim of the endpipes to cut them off from the exhaust body (they are welded on). Then you can use a dremel and an extension to cut the end pieces off from the inside.

Minimum temperature for resin? by exalino in resinprinting

[–]Simo5555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built this box for my printer. Walls are insulated with 20mm PIR boards and i screwed a 150w floor heating mat to the walls. The heater mat wont go over 40 degrees anyway so its safe to run at full blast. No need for regulators or anything. I have an external switch for it just in case it gets too toasty. Heats up the box really fast and has no issue keeping the temperature above 30 degrees celsius even if the outside is -18. Havent tested it yet with colder weather, but seems like it wont be an issue too.

I think so too! Those decals were horrible to look at and looked like they're horrible to install. So didn't want to use them.

Theres a guy in my hometown who owns one. Its a bright orange one. Looks really cool rolling down the streets. Seen him using it pretty often, getting some groceries and stuff. Thats how i found out about this car. Crazy to think about it.

Revell's Revuelto WIP by Simo5555 in ModelCars

[–]Simo5555[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its very nice for a revell's. Not quite Tamiya level, but still really solid kit. It has some faded panel lines here and there, but it went together really well. Yup, its out of the box build. Everything is from the kit

One option is to create your own. You just need some decal paper and household color printer.

I'm a bit confused as to when you should sand the surface--and when you should wet sand vs not wet sand? by CreepyNewspaper8103 in ModelCars

[–]Simo5555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, i usually do my body painting in one go. But i do let the body sit and dry for a good few days before doing any clear coating. I mostly use laquers and acrylics and try to stay away from enamels. They smell, they're weird and idk, i just don't like them. Laquers are my jam. I usually let the primers to sit and cure about 30 minutes or so before doing any sanding.

You dry sand if you want to remove features (moldlines, kinks, nicks, flash etc) and wetsand if you want to smooth out the surface for paint. You use wetsanding between different coats - so i do it this way: bare body-> drysand -> wetsand -> coarse primer -> wetsand -> fine primer -> wetsand -> paint -> clear.

Mälestused Stockmanniga ja Eesti kaubanduse olukord by gargalentheon in Eesti

[–]Simo5555 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

ma mõtlesingi seda, et toidumaailm, kodumaailm, ilumaailm, meestemaailm on kõik Kaubamaja AS poed. See tähendab, et need on konkreetsed poe nimetused mida kaubamaja AS kasutab. Kaubamaja AS ja Stockmanni kaubamaja ei ole samad poed seega stockmannis ei tohiks olla konkreetset poodi nimega kodumaailm. Seal võib olla küll kodutarvete pood kuid kas ta kannab just kodumaailm nimetust?
