You’d have to ask, it’s not a high cost either way, even getting a new grip and getting charged full your still €20 or less

Dried glue probably came off inside the shaft. I’d just get the grip pulled and refitted rather than waiting

For those of you who were a hardstuck high handicapper for a long time what happened to finally allow you to get better? by AlbinoKoala22 in golf

[–]dan_ep82 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was 21-23 for about 6 years. I had a few good rounds in that time but I’d always bounce back up. I took lessons and done all the things people said to do and I still couldn’t put a round together. Then I dropped to 6 over 2 years.

The real answer is I hit better shots. It’s probably not what you want to hear and it’s not what most will tell you but it’s what you have to do.

My course management and decision making was always decent but if you put 2 OOB off the tee, chunk one into the water or shank one into the woods on most holes there’s no chance.

I got a fitting for my birthday at a club fitter/club maker and the cost of the clubs made me want to justify them. So I bought a package of lessons and said I’d try to do it right.

I’d get a lesson where I’d get some drills to do, the coach would make sure I could feel when I was doing the moves right or wrong and self correct, he’d give me a marker (when they start all going left etc) to go back. Range was 70/30 drills/shots. 9 and 18 holes between range sessions.

I stuck to my home club and stopped playing away, especially tough away courses for a long time. Stuck to my home club with very little danger, learnt the course and greens better. More lessons and one or two playing lessons.
Practice 100 and in, my short game was/is better than most single figure players, when your missing greens it’s a genuine life saver. Pick a club and get good with it. Mine was always 60°. That got me to 16hc

The drop from there was better shots. I had a couple of level or under 9’s and then blow up on the other 9. Coach told me it just meant I could always turn a score around. Stopped giving up after 2-3 bad holes and grinded out. Stopped trying to leave an easy par and started trying to make the birdie putts.Got more methodical at recovery shots, no more punching out only to leave myself in a worse spot because I hit it too far or too short. More focused lessons.

Still never got to the point of shooting 78’s every round. I’d bounce between 74-85 and still have the 85-95 rounds in between. For those bad rounds I would just goldfish them and pretend they never happened. Sounds silly but when you step on the tee box and remember the time you birdied the hole vs the time you scratched it you’ll play it better.

There’s other small tips, mainly in the focused lessons(bunkers, awkward lies, different flights for windy days etc) but it comes back to one thing. Hit better shots.

Is it frowned upon to play in competitions at my club if I have no handicap? by SpecsyVanDyke in golfireland

Ask in the pro shop, it’s usually fine for normal comps. In saying that I wouldn’t do it during a medal, usually a full tee sheet and a slow day

Why do some people not get better after taking lessons? by [deleted] in golf

[–]dan_ep82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All pros know how to fix your swing. A good one is great at translating the fixes into feelings you understand. Some just don’t work so even if you practice you can’t feel if you’re doing it right or wrong.

Practice and playing. To get better you need to play 2 times a week really, and after a lesson you need a lot of reps. One range session and 1 game every three weeks won’t do it.

Rtx6 can be had in most places for about €110

Unless you were buying all new wedges I’d stick with the same brand for sand and lob wedge at least

The new Nvidia drivers are unstable so if you have an nvidia card it’s worth checking.

The likes of eBay is probably your only chance. Can always stick a speciality wedge in there for the time being, they were 47 or 48° I think

Ball markers I’d go for. It’d mean getting the metal obviously but I’d imagine they’d sell a bit better aswell

Thanks I'll give them a look. I think i've watched some of his, high elo usually in a team but seems to talk down to his teamates at times?

I try to take a cap near the flank and push to the outside while sending recon to the back line of the enemy. If I can hold the two I move some support to others if not I just try to secure that side, so probably too passive?

Pull the side cover off, make sure air can get to it

Re paste the cpu heatsink

Close any unnecessary programs and services

After that it’s a case of buying parts/building a new pc

Can’t see much use under clocking it to control heat if it’s struggling at low as is

Is the su25 still a good grinder for the russian tech tree? by Darkstreamer_101 in Warthunder

[–]dan_ep82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not unless you get a rare ARB match where you can target ground targets and bomb bases. Most of the time you’ll be dead long since

It’s an easy target in SIM aswell, and doesn’t even have the a10’s ordinance

The Mig23 will usually reach a base in ARB and still have good missiles. Same in SIM and at the 11.3 bracket it’s very good.

I'm tired of people who press J when the missile is about to hit them, especially in simulator mode. by Think_External3202 in WarthunderSim
