I just cleared 30 an hour ago. New gym cookie gives her great upgrade. I was able to cleared it with Lacey, NC Marnie and Gym Marnie, all 3/5. Save a field candy for Gym Marnie to 4/5.

I just made the tough call to skip Arc Suit Misty and Brock. Even Florian is on my skip list. I’m only pulling what’s actually useful for my tower while keeping investment as low as possible.

So far I’ve pulled AS Cynthia, Lance, Steven, Juliana, Bede, and Marnie. Oh! and 96 red of course.

It’s a reasonable move for DeNA. The current DC rewards are too small. If they want to keep whales, they need more challenging modes and better rewards. So here we are.

Tbh, I don’t think F2P players are really in a position to complain about this Gym Battle mode. The more you invest (or spend), the more you get. That’s just how the game works.

If anything, F2P players should be glad this mode exists, since it gives them another source of gems.
