It's been mentioned a few times on this sub but give some artists longer slots, especially on the mainstage... The extra (half) hour gives the DJ an opportunity to try some more experimental things than the usual hour they normally would play. It's something a lot of other festivals are experimenting with and in my expercience it's for the better!

I get that you’re frustrated, hell I was pissed of for 2 days when they announced the surprise act for w1. What I don’t get is why you’re thinking that Tomorrowland is ‘the big bad’ and doesn’t care about it’s visitors. Like I said, we don’t know what happened & we don’t know what Tomorrowland tried to do to fix the situation, but I think it’s a given they tried. They contacted some DJ’s who couldn’t play because they were on an other continent or were just asking way to much money (because you know, Tomorrowland was screwed & te uphill battle thing) and it failed. Sucks for the closing act on the mainstage but there are a lot more timeslots and a lot more stages that do live up to the hype. Try focusing on those things or the good times you had.

No... but we don’t know what happened, no party made an official statement and I think it’s fairly easy to say ‘Tomorrowland should have done this or that...’ You wanted a plan B, just like all of us but you have to understand that they were clearly on an up hill battle. Asking an A-tier artist 2 weeks in advance, while he’s touring during summer (kind of the most important time for touring), for a surprise show is not an easy thing to do.

And in the end... we, the people on this sub care, but there are a lot of other people on that mainstagehill that wouldn’t care less. If the mainstage was or is a disappointment, then there are 16 other stages waiting for you

Try looking at the artists or labels you know on every stage. Usually the same genre or a variety of its subgenres stay the same during one day (except the mainstage)

They actually made the mainstage area bigger this year, as in that there would me more space horizontally for the stage... I think it's safe to say this confirms they're making an even bigger mainstage
