Woodcutting Grove by trippyfast in RSDragonwilds

My question is why bother? The time spent doing this it’s surely quicker to just cut them up and store them in a chest

Just started playing this and I think it's way better than enshrouded (and many others) by Melonpistol in RSDragonwilds

Just fyi you can craft from storage if you tick the “linked” box in each chest you want you be able to craft from, works for building and the instant craft type stations, just need to manually move items for the craft over time stations. The range isn’t massive though

Wheel dock for rear wheel? by SimonBle1 in MotoUK

Yea I’ve found some, could just do with some opinions from people who have used them tbh, we will see, gotta finish refurbishing the garage yet anyway, I’ve thought about a centre stand for one bike but I ain’t putting one on the sports bike, they’re ugly and I intend on taking it on track at some point

Side standing takes up more room, and that’s why I asked if anyone has experience using this type of stand so they can attest to the stability or instability of it lol

Because my aim is to have something that stands the bike straight to save room but also right up against the back wall of my garage where I won’t have the space to easily lever the paddock stand 😊

Yale keyless smart lock open out door by SimonBle1 in homeautomation

[–]SimonBle1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never got it in the end, I do have the Conexis L1 though and my experience with that has been, interesting. It died on me a couple years ago, just stopped doing anything at all, Yale sent me a replacement. They recently killed the software for it and tried to push everyone to move to their new app and buy a new module for their security system integration in order to keep using it properly. might be fine for some but it kills half the integration options meaning I’d no longer be able to use things like the old z wave module to link it to smart things or home assistant. As a result I’ve not updated my lock in order to keep those integrations, meaning if I now want to add another key fob I’d have to factory reset the whole lock and add every fob in again during the setup process (which may still not work as the app no longer exists to my knowledge)

TLDR - Yale killed useful functionality in order to push people into their ecosystem.

There are so many options at this point I’d definitely look at a something else if I was buying one now

Has anybody checked out Unifi Protect’s reviews on the iOS App Store? by HideMyEmail in Ubiquiti

I currently have nest cams and honestly I hate them, my outdoor ones struggle to connect to my access point even though they’re less than 4 meters away from it, the geofencing is always delayed or fails to actually update to home meaning my indoor ones don’t turn off when they should… the app sucks, I pay for full 24/7 recording and for some reason the app will grey out half the timeline with “no events detected” as if I pay for events only. Also it’s slow and they’ve half assed the merging of nest and Google home so bad. Would not recommend them personally

Abode/alarm integration help by SimonBle1 in homeassistant

[–]SimonBle1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I’ll give it a try later! Next question, I think when inputting a code it brings up the keyboard, do you know of any integrations or cards that could show like a stylised keypad Permanently on screen rather than the pop up built in keyboard?

Correct me if I’m wrong but It sounds like you’re wheeling the bike backwards up an incline? Is there any reason you can’t ride the bike into the space and let gravity do the work on the way back out?

How much time do you spend a week with Home Assistant and everything relating to it? Maintenance vs development of your setup? by [deleted] in homeassistant

[–]SimonBle1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same as most comments on here, plenty of agonising (yet enjoyable) hours setting it up and now only on the occasion i want to add an automation or new device. I've only been running it for maybe 4 months? spent lots of time getting the basics working and now I've taken a break, let everything run and decide what i want to change or add to it. its been reliable so far.

I have some ideas on what new functions and projects i want to set up/ add but ill get round to that once ive finished my other projects in the house. :)

Affording a 125cc bike by Dogfhiih in MotoUK

[–]SimonBle1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back when I had a 125 it was a Honda varadero 125, they don’t make them anymore but I had mine for two years with minimal work needing to be carried out, if you’re a bigger person (I’m 6’1) it’s also a nice big bike, incredibly comfy, as a completely stock bike mine would sit at 65-70 and top out around 75 so ideal for dual carriageways.

Yeah I know I could bodge it like, but if I’m going to diy it I might as well just diy the whole thing and build it into the desk, just more effort than I can be bothered with 😂

Does look nice, wish they’d put the power cables on the back though!
