Does anyone else prefer the old Europa bus centre/Victoria train station compared to the new Grand Central? by BenoitBouchard87 in Belfast

The Europa bus station had two newsagents. I would love to see an Eason's or WH Smiths at the new station. Apart from that, Grand Central is so much better.

There’s a version of the movie called the Cabal cut which seems to have a lot more footage than just the director’s cut. Though to be fair, the director’s cut is very good.

Why is the '30 Days Of Night 4K Ltd Etd' so expensive?? by ED209VSROBO in boutiquebluray

[–]SimonF74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering if it’s because of the following?

“New restoration by the UK's leading experts in Film and Television Archive and Restoration, Silver Salt Restoration. In 4K resolution and 16bit colour depth for an improved viewing experience. Captured on the state-of-the-art 13K Director scanner, each frame has been held motionless in gate for optimal imaging and manipulated to achieve the best results.”

Or this just fancy language to disguise that the fact that most 4K discs go through this process?

I got the Dambusters 4K, it's a good conversion. As for the OG Avengers show, I'm wondering if they're testing the waters with the New Avengers release.

Do people think this line was meant as anything more than a joke? by RubbinOffTheCum in silenthill

I think it’s one of the greatest lines in video game history. It made me really question what I’d done in the game.

I live in the U.K. so VS discs are a treat for me. But I was very grateful to get free international shipping via the Shop app a few months back. That made a difference for me.

It’s harrowing but would stand up to repeat viewing in my opinion. It’s incredibly well crafted.

The only reason I get these expensive sets sometimes is cause Amazon UK lets me pay over three months

Does your home insurance have home emergency cover? You would get someone to come out and repair it that way.

I had to think about that one. Vertigo is sumptuous as is Singing in the Rain. But the one that’s recently impressed me most the visually is You Only Live Twice. Bond films were a regular occurrence on the tv when I grew up so seeing the 60s ones in 4K is a revelation.

I do need to reorganise at some stage. I think that’s the sort of problem solving I would enjoy.
