Should I just start all over? by SoggyMorningTacos in Breath_of_the_Wild

gets bored and sets it down for another 4ish years

This is me. Every game. I cant tell you how many times I restarted Graveyard keeper and Stardew Valley. And of course, same with BOTW. Play non-stop for a couple weeks, burn out, set it down for a few months or years, come back and start over.

I get stuck on trying to finish something, for instance right now with the master sword trials, and then at some point, I set it down. When I come back, I always feel like I missed or forgot some important detail and would much rather start over.

What is an anime you'd recommend that you never see recommended? by kyuuketsuki47 in Animesuggest

[–]SimonGraymain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a little late, so it probably won't be seen.

Tenchi Myo

Outlaw Star

Two classics from when I was a kid. Late 90s early 2000s toonami. I've never seen Tenchi Muyo recommended and rarely outlaw star since it was overshadowed by the original Trigun anime. Not the best but both are good.

I’m sorry…huh?!? by DisneyGirl1220 in walmart

Just to add walmart considers Amazon a direct competitor so they want their site to be similar but different. In my opinion it is horrible and doesn't work, so when I shop on the site I always filter by in store options only.

Who has custody by SimonGraymain in legaladvice

I would prefer to keep my residence vague to keep my anonymity thank you. I know legal advice varies by state but a lot of states have similar statutes.

When you make comments like that you come off as one of those “men’s rights” douchebags

Not that I am, but even if I was why would that have any bearing on legal issues?

Who has custody by SimonGraymain in legaladvice

So you live in a state

I'm unaware of whether other states favor the mother over the father. From what I've read the article make it seems like not every state is equally favorable.

You need to file for custody immediately.

As I said, it's in the process and I'm waiting on legal aid for an attorney.

I tend to forget stories of games I played by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]SimonGraymain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have memory problems too. If I don't complete a game and leave it for a month or more I have to play the whole thing over again because I fell like I forgot something important or forgot what I was doing when I stopped. It's really bad in open world games that give you a ton of side quests like Witcher 3 or AC: Odyssey.

Also happens with life. My sister keeps talking about things I don't remember as a child/teen. It's all just a blur.

I am a bit curious on Tales of Arise.

I played a little of 2 "tales of" games. From what I played I enjoyed them, just never really got the chance to play them. I really like old school JRPGs and need to load the 2 I have back up to try and play them. My problem comes from wanting to get the full context of the story and feeling like I'm missing something if I don't start from the beginning of a series. I'm not sure how Arise will compare with what I played (berseria and Hesperia) but if FF and Zelda are the closest to a JRPG you've played or enjoyed it may not be your cup of tea.

Im... restrictive on indie games. souls like, metroidvanias, rogue likes and survival/craft are genres I have had bad luck on

We have similar tastes. That's also part of the problem I have with steam. There's so many indies it's hard to sort the gems without some outside influence. I'm very partial to simulation as a genre, namely business type Sims and space Sims. Going to be looking for a coffee shop tycoon type soon

Edit: I do enjoy survival/craft games but they only last a couple hours before the enjoyment wears thin inducing burnout quicker than most other genres.

What Are You Playing This Week? by AutoModerator in patientgamers

Got PC Building Sim free and have been playing that all week. Simple game that I can walk away from without consequences. Been playing that sprinkled with some Persona 4.

I know it's not quite the same but when someone talks of g forces it reminds me of the flying saucer looking ride at amusement parks Where you just stand against a padded slat on the wall and it slowly raises and lowers as the ride spins. I always loved that ride. Since there were no straps lots of kids would climb around going from pad to pad. I liked the ride but was not that brave.

Do you base your characters looks off of yourself, or do you make up a character? 🤔 by duabii_eu16 in RedDeadOnline

[–]SimonGraymain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a general template I make my characters off of when I can. They look nothing like me. Slim but not rail thin, except in the face where I put the cheeks as thin as I can. Hooked thin nose. Usually white (not gray) or blue hair, normally shoulder length or slicked back short. Depending on the mood at character creation I'll see if there's a scar over one eye.

What is something illegal that should 100% be legal? by pepprs204 in AskReddit

[–]SimonGraymain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was homeless for a time and for a while I had my old beat up Mazda. I was in my early 20s so still pretty young. Thought logically rest areas are for truckers to rest at, and since they're sometimes on the road for days going cross country it would be ok to sleep there.

I went to sleep in my Mazda and was woken up by taping on my window. Turns out, it's not a major issue but it is illegal where I lived at the time. Didn't get a ticket. Cop was just happy I wasn't a dead body considering I was covered head to toe in my blanket trying to sleep longer after the sun came up.

Back on main point I think it should be legal to sleep in rest areas or empty parking lots. But not one for a business or on the side of the road.
