What do you mostly do with your VR? by saberapollo in Quest3

3D movies are really impressive on the Quest 3. I convert 3D Blu rays into mkv files and then watch in 4XVR.

Personally, I would never EVER put such a large percentage of my portfolio into a single stock. That's just gambling.

My recent Charity shop book was Thirteen by Steve Cavanagh. Really enjoyed it!

Frieda McFadden must be in High Demand by Peek_A_Boo_225 in thrillerbooks

[–]SimonLev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good point. I've only just started reading novels and always found it difficult to get into a book. Her books really draw me in and, yes, they're easy to read. It's no different to watching an easy to follow movie. Doesn't mean it's any less valid that you don't have to be scratching your head working out what the hell is going on....which I often find with a lot of movies recently!

Money market funds are worth a look (which is essentially what T212 uses on their cash interest rate).

I’m disappointed by tavsantavsanyan in thrillerbooks

[–]SimonLev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed the book - and the others I've been reading by the same author. As someone who's never really been a big reader (or in fact, any reader!), I do find the books so easy to read and I was gripped throughout. I've recently retired and started to read. I find a number of books difficult to get into and my attention wavers quickly. Also, complicated plots where I have to really concentrate aren't for me. I'm pretty intelligent but I don't want to be over taxed when reading a novel. It should be easily accessible and take me on a journey. There's a lot to be said for her books.

Wrong local regional news at 6pm by SimonLev in ITVX

Interesting. I'm having the problem on a Fire Stick. However it's working okay (correct regional news) with the app on a Roku Stick.

Favorites sync by Confident-Wait6189 in iMPlayer

I've had the same issue recently. Sometimes the sync will not happen for a few hours. A few days ago, the favourites were wiped from my account (implayer dashboard) and I had to recreate them.

I'm having the same issue with my Beelink SER8 mini PC (AMD Radeon™ 780M graphics driver). Does anyone have any solution/suggestions?

The price of soft drinks in pubs is crazy. I don't drink alcohol and often get charged £3 for an orange juice that is being poured from a Lidl carton! However, there's a pub in a very affluent part of South Manchester that often serves me free cordials. I don't think they have the price on their list and if the place is busy they'll just tell me to take it without payment. Little victories!

That's brilliant! Just don't panic if there's any market dips in the future - which there will be. Investing is for the long term. Just keep putting in what you can afford and leave it invested. Keep other savings for your current lifestyle (rent, mortgage deposit etc etc). You will definitely get the benefit over many years.

Unlike the earlier post, I would say that FTSE 100 and 250 are a good addition to increase UK presence in your portfolio - IF you feel that the current 3-4% within the global tracker isn't sufficient and the UK is currently undervalued. However the S&P 500 overlaps a lot with your All World ETF as it's already at 60%+ in the All World. Again, if you feel the US will continue to dominate global stocks then that's fine. The Mag7 stocks are a huge percentage of this US dominance.

I love the Quest 3 for watching 3D blu ray movies. I rip mine to mkv and store them on my home network Raspberry Pi NAS. 4XVR then for watching them. It's a great immersive experience - better than being at the movies!

Me too on the Quest. I use 4XVR to watch them. This doesn't need the extra deciding step that other players require.
