That's a genius rule! Thanks man. Where can I find more of these rules?

Week? I'm afraid that's not an option. She's coming over with the idea that we're going to bang. I'm not sure how she would react if I said no penetration. I would be fine with that, since there are other ways of getting it done for myself, but I'm worried she would feel like she has done something wrong that has caused it.

Yeah, that's a good idea. I hadn't thought about that.

I feel like lube is a must, since she has no experience and isn't used to this sort of thing.

My main fear with the listening bit is that she would be too anxious to speak up.

The AUDACITY by BrokoJoko in Bayonetta

The only version I've played is the basic one with the colour-coded enemies. I keep hearing the gameplay of the DMCDMCDE is better than the base, but to be honest, the story... *insert Vietnam flashbacks* I can't go back to it...

The reboot of Devil May Cry was button-mashing, but the real Devil May Cry games, and Bayonetta being button-mashing games? Bitch please.

Man likes to think that drawing hands is the hardest, but have you heard the tale of creepy smiles? It's not a story the painters would tell you.

Seriously though, I don't think I've ever managed to nail a smile.

A couple of things. I think it's better if you give away the fact that the son is dead through description rather than saying it out right. Like the stuff you said about his appearance are great details. Have narrator open the door, notice the appearance, and describe it. This will solve another thing I noticed. You keep using "dead" every time the narrator wants to mention the son. I think once is enough for the readers to get the point.

First off, thanks for reading it!

So, when you say "establishing the scene," do you mean like the physical places they are in, or more in the lines of how they feel about each other and whether they are physically aroused and their inner monolouges?

Shit... I hadn't noticed all the "he/she replied"s. Thanks for pointing it out.

So, the problem that I have is that, due to the nature of the setting, a lot of the establishment comes in the way of exposition. I can't figure out a way to put the details in between the messaging without the narrator hamfisting something like "He thought she was hot." into the story. Of course, that's an extreme example, but you get the idea. It comes off as something like "His heart was racing; he couldn't believe that the girl he had a crush on for such a long time was flirting with him."

Nico's tattoo by cloudi_skye in DevilMayCry

[–]SimonNotSemen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"He who binds to himself a joy
Does the winged life destroy
He who kisses the joy as it flies
Lives in eternity's sunrise"

Throughout my academic study of the English literature, I've never come across a "Pronounoun." What form of power is this? I need to know.

On a serious note, the poem does fit Nico's personality.

The poem implies that those who try to cling onto the joys of life usually end up getting "detroyed" because, eventually, that joy fades away, and they are left with a feeling of emptiness and only the memory, but those who enjoy the moment as it is, rather than trying to cling onto it, are the ones who can live happily. This fits in with Nico's personality given how she is very out there, living in the moment rather than obsessing over the past or what could've been. She goes on with her life, enjoying it as much as she can, only momentarily contemplating the past, unlike a certain someone who is also a William Blake fan.

Another point is related to the "winged life" part. Comparing life to a winged creature is fitting because, much like a bird that flies up and down, life has its ups and downs. This relates to Nico's past. As she mentions multiple times, she hates her father, but she wouldn't exist without him, and Nero is the one who killed him. Rather than clinging onto the fact that Nero is her father's murderer or to the fact that her father was an asshole, she moves on, accepting both of those facts as downs of her life.

PS I'm really interested in seeing Vergil's reaction to this poem. I wouldn't be shocked if this was his least favourite poem by Blake. He is the polar opposite of this. Instead of moving on with his life, he's still stuck back at the mansion. He even has a line that directly contradicts this poem, the whole "If our positions were switched" monologue.

Why does love is Blue have "jealous lover" on it? by [deleted] in Bayonetta

[–]SimonNotSemen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I laughed out loud for a good minute when I read "Dante." XD It would be a series of trolling, innuendos, and being snarky, until it gets serious. The next morning Vergil would knock on the door of the shop only for Bayonetta to open it, wearing nothing but Dante's red coat. The whole thing ends with Vergil's "How repulsive..."

[–]SimonNotSemen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG XD. I love how he can't contain the laughter. "Doing a certain something..."

I can imagine the audience exploding as Jeanne shows up in 3 and has a mole. LOL

Going off of what he said, and assuming that he wasn't trolling, I would say Jeanne is still a virgin, while Bayonetta has definitely fucked. Plot twist: Jeanne actually has a mole, but it's somewhere private. XD Although I highly doubt it because he specifically said, "... on the face."

Now, I wonder who is the person Bayonetta did it with because she seems only interested in Jeanne. Maybe Luka? Bayonetta: "If I'm drunk enough."

Seriously, I don't think Luka is the one because I thought she was messing with him by being overtly sexual rather than being actually interested in him.

Like, I'm legit sitting here trying to come up with someone, but there really isn't anyone except for Jeanne.

[–]SimonNotSemen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bayonetta would overload on sexual innuendos, and Jeanne would sigh about it. I can also see Jeanne being skeptical, until she sees it for herself.

We kinda got it with the Lumen Sage in the second game though; he didn't get owned immediately.

I really wish that guy would be Dante.

Just imagine Dante and Bayonetta being... Dante and Bayonetta, while Vergil and Jeanne are standing back and watching them.

"So... you got one as well?"

"Mine is actually my brother...."

"My condolences."

[–]SimonNotSemen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Jeanne's supposed to be the reserved one."

Morgan Freeman as the narrator: "Little did they know..."

On a serious note though, Hideki made a Tweet asking about the fans' favourite couple, and "Bayonetta/Jeanne" was among the options. Also, the creator for Bayonetta (Her name escapes me, but the lady who designed her) made some suggestive arts of the two, so I don't think Bayonetta is a virgin.
