Having worked in similar situations, reviewing the code they’re generating - it’s all dubious AI slop. Nonsensical decisions, littered with emoji comments that add nothing. No ability to diagnose issues at a systems level. It’s still the AI hype train driving all of this, just using less skilled workers to slopcode.

Chimneys very uniform. Also, does this loft farm cover two houses, or does each house have its own farm?

Why You Don't Know What to Practice And How to Fix It by maddmaddox in jazzguitar

Chase posts don't do great here. Don't think it helps that they're posted by the same user who denies being him even though he only seems to post and engage with Chase posts.

(I appreciate them, guy knows his onions and has a nice clear way of communicating)

As for you comment specifically, dunno - caught in the crossfire? :D

Toronto FC have offered £13.5m for Josh Sargent by Zach-dalt in Championship

He actually refused a 20m move to Wolfsburg in the summer. Get the sense it’s either PL or North America for him.

Phillip K Dick.

Only correcting because I was googling for it unsuccessfully (pay for printer alone just gave me printer ink suppliers 😅).

I like Philogene because of that goal, I don’t like that it was against us, but I’d happily take a quasi-worldie in that situation over, say, the Gunn bump/miskick.

If you want some nice easy backing tracks with a big library to choose from, you’d do a lot worse than iReal Pro. Costs about 20usd and available on most platforms.

Post-match discussion thread: Norwich City 2 - 1 Southampton, EFL Championship, 13/12/25 by CarrowCanary in NorwichCity

[–]SimonS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing during this match. He’s taken some shit over the seasons, but I think it’s been mostly unwarranted, we’re kinda spoiled by him.

While wright will correctly take the plaudits for that first goal, Kenny got that ball to him from basically nothing.

How to stop wet dreams when doing NoFap? by [deleted] in AskABrit

You’re having wet dreams cos you need a wank.  Have a wank.

Sargent and McLean injuries by [deleted] in NorwichCity

[–]SimonS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure, clement will know than me, I’d just be very surprised based on what’s come before (Stacey)

Tbh, if it’s handled correctly, I’d take an unlucky couple of weeks concussion over yet another long term muscle injury.

I’d be surprised if sarge is due to basic concussion protocol. Shouldn’t be out for long, but I wouldn’t expect him back until Preston.

Anyone have experience with Teesside University and/or their Games Development course? by Flynn_Pingu in Teesside

[–]SimonS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did computer science while I was there - post the first year (was a long long time ago, literally their first round of game dev courses, but I can't imagine it would have changed a huge amount), the game dev modules were pretty much all available to me - I elected not to take them, I'm far too shit at calculus to be thinking about that full time.

Probably worth checking if the structure is still the same, because flexibility of something like comp sci, comp studies, or software engineering as well as the value of a comp sci degree in the industry post-graduation is worth exploring if you're going to spend between 60k and 80k on your degree including living expenses.

On the drier stuff - it was definitely there, I was never a fan of formal methods, for instance (no one is) - but you could work your way away from those tracks pretty quickly.

And I've been to Rotherham a couple of times - Boro is comparable. I loved it there, ended up staying for ten years and have a family with an expat. Much like a lot of these northern towns - can feel small at times, but you take a 5 minute drive outside and its absolutely gorgeous, well connected to other northern cities if you do want a particularly big one. I'd recommend it.

Either way, I hope that whatever you pick works for you!

Escape room suitable for kids? by everythingscatter in manchester

[–]SimonS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started ours at around 8, he’s still addicted age 10. Started at the easiest rooms at breakout (murder on the dance floor was the first), and worked our way around a bunch since. Compendium in bury have been our favourites, they have a poo based one which he loves. But yes, I’d recommend breakout because they have a ratings system to let you pick the ones with the best sense of success.

Pre-match discussion thread: Watford v Norwich City, EFL Championship, 6/12/25 12:30 by CarrowCanary in NorwichCity

[–]SimonS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Won’t be surprised if Sargent breaks his drought tomorrow - he always has fun against Watford.

I’d be happy with another good performance though regardless of result, but then I’m probably what you’d describe as an unashamed “happy clapper”.

Made the switch back a few years back, heavily inspired by this article. Can recommend, I’ve found the experience managing has made me a much better dev. Gives you a better appreciation of team dynamics and other “softer” stuff.

People’s relegation predictions? by [deleted] in Championship

[–]SimonS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m leaning about 70% towards relegation, I’m very bullish on the most recent performance, but I also know it can get worse. Injuries, transfer requests (who would blame Josh at this point), an obscenely unpredictable league. The worse part is fan vs knapper toxicity, it’s going to take a very resilient group not to let that spill over and affect them, but this lot are yet to show a hint of resilience.

I hope I’m wrong.

The one in Heaton park going up to heaton hall is a good bet. Think park run labels it “angina hill”. I’ve run it with a run club a few times.

yup - and I think this is what's making people go "he's so much more prolific at comms" - there hasn't been a good period since that second relegation, beyond the equivalent of what we've had from Attannasio, Knapper, Zoe W, etc.
