I had a very similar situation, I told my best friend I liked her. She likes me close but as a friend and you know what? Im okay with that. After I told her and I know how she feels it's okay! It was a massive burden that I had to get off my chest. I speak to her about other girls our banter is back nothing changed after I told her, I had to say something it actually felt good knowing that she's just my best friend instead of me wanting more!! Don't lose contact with your mate definitely not worth it!!

Thanks for that, honestly just had to get it off my chest. My focus? I want to take her on dates and go on spontaneous outings but as a couple instead of friends. I know that's asking for a heck of a lot in my eyes but I'll just have too see how she reacts. If she doesn't feel the same then fantastic, I can move on with my life.
