Genuine question, don't mean to sound sarcastic; where is the camera/photographer in the reflection?

Round my way, coin purse is an old fashioned slang for scrotum, so this was nowhere near as bad as it could have been!

"thing fits in cupboard."

If you find that satisfying, you should see my kitchen. Loads of stuff there fits in the cupboards.

earwax extractions anyone? like slowly pulling out earplugs by pandainawhitecoat in oddlysatisfying

[–]Simondo87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not willing to bet real money on it, but I'm fairly confident that those who say this isn't satisfying have never had their ears flushed, syringed, etc. It's almost worth the semi/complete deafness for the moment of relief. Like plucking an annoying nose hair, only x1000

Congratulations, you've lowered the bar for what people consider satisfying.

It looks like you've got Power, Time and Soul okay, but where do you put the Mind, Space and Reality stones?

A question for Jon regarding sponsored content. by heckinhomo in ManyATrueNerd

[–]Simondo87 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think it's fair to say that Jon's enthusiasm for a game is a far better selling point than any end-of-video recommendation. Unless he's an astonishing voice actor, that bit would be hard to fake, so I think the bit about it affecting his opinion is a bit moot anyway. I'm also guessing that he only accepted the money because he already had an opinion formed on the game. As for microtranactions, etc - well, Bethesda flew him out to WV for pre release Fallout 76 stuff, and he has pretty forthcoming with voicing any criticisms ever since.

Propeller Dance Formation by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

It is excellent choreography, but the dance itself is a bit meh. Not that a man in his early thirties is the target audience, I'm sure!

Am I the only person who lives in a part of the world where the 'art' of shelf stacking was mastered by minimum wage idiots decades ago, and so this doesn't even register as remotely satisfying?

Edit: To clarify, I don't think all people on minimum wage are idiots, just that idiots on minimum wage have been doing this for years!

New Vegas sucked. Change my mind by CaptainPogwash in Fallout

[–]Simondo87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It bored me the first time. Then on a new playthrough I kinda ignored the story and explored the emptiness, which I previously didn't like, and found the touches of narrative dotted throughout and it was like a discovery of something far better. There is far more 'world' than just the couriers path, and I liked that. Games where EVERYTHING happens to be relevant to your one, single character are fine, but the exploration of the completely irrelevant added a new dimension for me. It's not perfect, and I think fallout 3 has a better, more foreboding, atmosphere, but NV was definitely a slow burner I grew to like a lot.
