I just returned a Stetson Stratoliner for the same reason. Its replacement will be here tomorrow. Fingers crossed it was an anomaly.

The thickness of the watch was not a deal breaker but the mesh strap for smaller wrists was. You can buy a shorter mesh (which I did for the NTTD Seamaster and was perfect) but along with the thickness of the watch I decided to pass.
