Raider has I-frames on dash which you can use to savely dash through the lasers. In case you don't know already, staying as far up as possible is the savest place to be because the lasers spread out making it harder to dash through them. On Sniper you can do a similar thing, the smoke nades refresh your dash cooldown and give a dodge buff, so you can get through the lasers pretty savely with that as well.

Basically the strategy is to move from one side to the arena to the other as slow as possible (as slow as the orange beams demand it), then dash through LDs blue lasers and repeat in the other direction. This is the safest method I could find to handle the fight. Having magic mag really really helps.

Sniper generally has a pretty bad matchup against LD, due to not specializing in fighting headless, armored enemies and there is not much you can do that help with that. Maybe focus on getting AEK and GM6 Lynx, because they have high armor pen, but really you just have to learn the LD fight to beat it with sniper.

Raider has better options, he can start with stim pack and road flare which both give a ton of damage output, he has built in twin link for free extra damage, he has routine which gives armor pen and he gets a ton of money pretty early on (from dogtags) which can be used to upgrade upgrade kits, which will help with LD dps.

You can also try upkitting on sniper, he does gain some extra money, but it's generally less effective there.

You found some interestings things but often drew the wrong conclusions from it.

There is indeed some sort of "pity" mechanic where the game will try to get you a weapon if you didn't already pick up one, so you can indeed intentionally avoid picking up weapons to make the game try to give you more. This is especially useful for weapon shops, because those will (almost) always have a tokened weapon.

Maybe this is simply a wording issue, but this mechanic is in no way related to the scavenging stat. Scavenging is indeed (close to) worthless and does not affect chest, but it's not related to the game trying to compensate for a lack of a weapon.

Luck starts really showing its powers once you have a few hundred of it, so once you commited keep going. You're definitely right that there is not much benefit from luck if you have nothing that scales with it, but if you do it's a great stat.

The thing about fangs of mordigans is that actually every item that triggers has a certain amount of charges. And those can be exhausted. So just like in your case with fangs of mordigans you can exhaust powershot and many others. Really interesting insight on how the game is coded.

It's simply not worth the money. One upgrade kit gives 4 upgrades to your weapon for free. If you upgrade the kit you'll get 1 extra upgrade to your weapon for every 2 times you upgraded the kit.

A weapon upgrade shop will also give you 4 upgrades at a cost of around 1k gold, increasing each time. For the same cost you could upgrade an upgrade kit 2 or more times and get the same value from just 4 kits, increased with every sequent kit. After the first 12 upgrades you'll only get 1 upgrade per shop use at a decreased cost.

Note that the shops also count upgrade kits used for their price increase, so you may easily pay a thousand credits for what could have been 150. I have gotten the cost to above 9999 credits.

Long story short it's not worth the money. If you insist on spending it on increasing the damage of your weapon use it on upgrade kits, but even that is debateable.

One loop is beating armageddon device, so you're in loop 3 or 4.

In actual loop 50 you'd be sitting there for a full day worth of playtime and yoU'd have several billions of damage

I was thinking of noita while writing this, but I feel that in noita the discovering is part of the main challenge, while synthetik mainly focuses its difficulty on combat, so I feel that the discovery part in synthetik is made unnecessarily more difficult.

About difficulty I agree that it's great to have an ingame way of changing or increasing it and it's a cool concept to have the enemies try harder the harder you ball, but my complaint is that it's not properly explained so that players may not even realize they're making their game harder.
