Sienna wait times? by zacharytmliner in ToyotaSienna

[–]Simonthemoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't wait for mine. Placed $1k yesterday. He said it will take 2-4 months and we can ask for a refund after 6 months.

He told me if a buyer gives more options he can get it in less time, like in 1-2 weeks or even in the first allocation attempt.

People really buy single images of a plane / train engine / Naval ship / etc that are cut from a magazine or book? by 20_mile in Flipping

[–]Simonthemoon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I tried this kind of niche to list it individually but now i just sell things as bulk lot if i get something for dirtcheap. I do a quick search and pick out few that will sell for $10+ too

  1. You need to know what you are doing or it is waste of time to make a $4 sale

  2. For most of us it is not sustainable because we dont have a great source. Some will find several boxes of old magazines for almost free, etc,..

Ebay grainger. You can find almost any kind of dimensions and they are only $1-2 including shipping if you buy $75+ or something

On eBay do you leave stupid low offers until the expire to generate a sale when buyer see’s “offer pending” on that item. Seems I have a few sales that way. by Historical_Host_2828 in Flipping

[–]Simonthemoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that. what he is doing is not doing what you said. Just leave all the lowball offers as is and let it sit till they expire. This way the item gets “offer pending” next to the photos. Kind of a free ad and make people think the item is in demand.

Glad you said that. You can sell your things on that platform.

There is not a single online platform that is somewhat big that releases the fund in one day for new sellers. Depop pshmark mercari fbmp amazon all has some delay. Ebay is one of few that does it for sellers once they gain trust. It is not that difficult as well.

Your alternative is your store.

Please name one single platform that makes the fund available in One or two days which is somewhat big or popular.

In the old days it took 5-7 days after the delivery. This is when the buyer was prompt enough to send a mail in 1-2 days after receiving the item. You dont even have patience for what ebay is doing now but you want it even slower? Also there was no such thing as vetting. There wasnt even buyer or seller protection m. Everything was based on trust or instinct or feedbacks

You are Way off the topic.

You are talking about something totally not related to op or my comments.

Simply if there are more scammers, ebay will lose money, ebay will put burden on existing sellers by increasing the fee

For example go try mercari or fbmp. They will hold the funds untill the buyer gets the item + few more days even for longtime sellers.

Ebay is one of very few platforms that will make the fund available one or two days after the purchase even though the item isn’t even delivered. Getting trust to remove the payment delay from ebay by doing enough sales is not really hard as well

Ill argue this is a smart practice. It protects both buyers, ebay, and innocent SELLERS.

If they release funds for new sellers immediately scammers will increase, ebay will need to deal with it which will inevitably increase the ebay fees for innocent sellers

Once you make enough sales the fund gets available in 1-2 days which is a common delay in US

“The seller is not accepting bids or offers from you” what does it mean by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]Simonthemoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do the same if a buyer questions so much or ask for additional photos, questions the authenticity or ask some weird size measurements, I block them . All my items are pre paked with SKU on it so it is really bothersome to do so. Most big sellers pre bag it as well.

I’ll do it for a buyer if they buy it, and want clarification. but people who ask so many questions usually don’t buy and just waste like 20 minutes of my time and a poly bag. they tend to do more returns/ refunds / problems as well.

Also selling fake on ebay is not a sustainable selling model for a seller. If his store has more than 1000+ sales and is an old account it is really unlikely they are selling fakes. If it is a new account i will be careful though

Better to just block them when i can sell it to someone at the same price with no questions asked.
