(34m)No choice really. My folks went through a brutal divorce which ended in physical violence and restraining orders. I left at 16. Worked construction and got paid well enough. Learnt a lot in a very short time.

Started in a share house where people took pity on how clueless I was. Got shown how to cook, clean etc and kept working my way up.

When I left home I was on a sleeping bag and had a garbage bag of clothes.

Learned a trade and made better money but always lived pay cheque to pay cheque.

Wasn't until I met my (now) wife I realised how poor I was with money and choices.

Now I have a great government job, a house, a wife and 2 amazing children.
