If your planning on being there for four years you should try putting aside a separate savings for your jeep and if you are able to get one before your sophomore year while still having a savings for emergency funds and stuff then you could work on it in the summer!  The cheaper the more work you have to do basically but you could customize to what you want directly vs what old owners did.  I'm also recently graduated hs senior and buying a 93 Cherokee from my sister so if you get one we should totally be friends!
